  1. But this isn't the Premiership. A 0-0 draw in the Premiership would have been great. This is the Champions League, and you fell into their trap. All Chelsea need is 1 goal or a 1-1 draw, and you are fucked. That is not luring them into a trap - that's walking backwards into your own trap while trying to pull them along. Chelsea's defence can be absolutely rock solid when they want it to be. Unless Liverpool put on the performance of their lives. And the way Liverpool played yesterday they are not likely to even get a goal, nevermind a draw. Honestly, people seem to be underestimating Chelsea WAY TOO MUCH. Unless something fucks up, Liverpool are fucked. ←
  2. Detroit - San Antonio finals me thinks. I hope the Nets do make it over the Cavs, as I don't like Lebron. I can't believe that the T-wolves aren't making it. KG must be thinking about moving on. The matchups in the west look great. Especially Dallas Sacramento - I like both those teams.
  3. What a game! 3 quality strikes, Edman's especially was awesome. Xabi Alonso is the best player we have signed since John Barnes. What a player, his 50 yard passes to feet are unbelievable. We should have won that match, with the chances we had. I knew Robbie Keane would score against us.
  4. Oh dear. I stopped watching when Dyer scored cause I thought they were through.
  5. If it's 23, Xabi Alonso. I voted for SWP though.
  6. What age does a player stop being 'young'?
  7. Jamie Carragher. But since people obviously haven't been watching him play this season, I voted for Stevie. EDIT: And Makelele has been Chelsea's best player from what I've seen of them.
  8. That was Juve? One of the best teams in Europe? Masters of the 1-0 in the CL? Against no-hopers Liverpool? And Xabi Alonso > *
  9. We're still underdogs, and it's not the best lead to try and defend. We'll have to try and play like we did in Germany in the last round, but it won't be easy. I'm glad though that we're still in with a real chance of beating Juventus. Rafa's got us on the up, in Europe especially. I'm worried about the Citeh game this weekend tbh. The Juve game is a big distraction, and Pearce seems to have got his players fired up. They'll be desperate to get him his first win. As important as next wed is, we need to get back into the European cup next season.
  10. Why, because he chose to be Christian? ←
  11. Juventus next then. I think the most important thing is not to concede on Tuesday. Saying that though, I would accept a 3-1 scoreline now.
  12. Is Keane not one of the first names on your team sheet? I don't watch Spurs a lot, but whenever I do, he seems like one of your best players. Very tricky player to play against.
  13. Could it be that finally our luck is changing this season? That was a poor match, but tbh, I wasn't expecting much when I saw the team sheet. Four defenders and six midfield players doesn't exactly fill you with confidence. Still though, thank fuck for the cult hero Igor Biscan. Bolton out of the running for fourth? EDIT:
  14. Vignal showed flashes of being a tidy little player a few years ago. He had a very good tandem going for a while with Riise in ginge's first season. Seemed to go backwards though. His injuries didn't help of course. He could turn out to be a good player for someone in the Premiership. Not us though.
  15. Heskey is useless and has shown time and again that he cannot be relied on. Owen's the opposite. Sometimes he has games that are incredibly frustrating, but he always makes up for it. I would love to still have him at Liverpool.
  16. Wouldn't be the first time they've fabricated something. Owen's not the type of player to make predictions before games.
  17. I think we've a pretty decent record against Spurs at home. Although I think we drew last season, I can remember a few home wins in recent years. I wouldn't expect too much in terms of atmosphere, tbh. Sadly a lot of our fans don't really bother joining in songs unless it's a huge club (no offense to Spurs), or it's a midweek. Although if we manage to get through against Juve, it could be a good atmosphere.
  18. If there was a bomb threat, why was the place not evacuated?
