  1. He's also responsible for the war in Syria, bird flu, the economical crisis and the 2004 Tsunami... Seriously... what won't people blame him for? The guy left a smaller team to go to a bigger one. Stuff like that happens in team sports every single day. People in Cleveland (and all of the USA) should learn to accept it. (in fact, in Cleveland they should be grateful for the great years he gave them). I'm not a basketball-expert but have been trying to follow the NBA for the last couple of years now. It's clear to me... he's the greatest player currently in the game. He led the Cavs several years, saw there wasn't hope for a title and went to a bigger team. Seriously, what did you want him to do? Wait until his career was over?? I'm hoping for Miami to get the win. Not because I hate the Thunder (I like Ibaka, Durant, Harden, ...) but because I like Lebron. He's one of the greatest ever and he deserves a title as much as anyone.
  2. Two important bouts added to UFC on Fuel 4 (Simpson vs Fitch) and UFC on Fox 4: Phil Davis Vs Chad Griggs. Phil Davis Vs Chad Griggs?? That's a big mismatch in my opinion. Davis is gonna destroy Griggs...
  3. Barao is scheduled to face Menjivar on that card, so I guess it's possible to make Faber vs Barao and give Menjivar another opponent...
  4. Mark Hunt is pretty awesome too but nobody wants to see him fight for the ti... euhr.. ah... I see your point. (Y)
  5. I think Korean Zombie is lucky to be in a title eliminator fight allready... seeing as he's 3-3 in his last 6 matches with losses to George Roop and Leonard Garcia. Fortunately his last two fights were very good. I'd still rank Koch higher then him though.
  6. Euhr, agreed... but you do say yourself: 'when they do eventually make their way to the UFC'. Emelianenko didn't (when he maybe should have). Do you really want a guy like Lombard retiring before even having fought in the UFC? Then you'll never know how good he really was. I agree that there should be top fighters outside of the UFC... but I also think they should eventually make their way into the UFC (as long as there is only one really big organisation that is).
  7. Apparently Bellator decided not to match UFC's (big) offer for Lombard. I guess that makes the chance of Alvarez going to the UFC a lot bigger too... Both Lombard and Alvarez needed to fight in the UFC once anyway... nobody wants another Emelianenko-situation. And really... for Bellator I don't think it's that big of a deal anyway, especially with Lombard. They had real trouble finding him any decent competition and him destroying other middleweight tournament winners (aka Shlemenko) doesn't really help them either. Shlemenko will now face Spang or Falcao for the vacant title and for these fighters... a Bellator title could really help their 'status' (which it doesn't imho for Lombard). The situation with Alvarez is different as he's not the lightweight champ (and at least has one competitive fight left against Chandler).
  8. Rumors are that Henderson could get the Heavyweight title shot against Dos Santos...
  9. Overeem failed a drug test: http://mmajunkie.com/news/28109/alistair-overeem-fails-pre-fight-drug-test-likely-out-of-ufc-146-title-fight.mma Ugh... that sucks.
  10. Maia is moving down to welterweight. Hope this is a good move for him but welterweight is pretty stacked too. And Hunt vs Struve will apparently be added to UFC 146. I guess that means we will (or at least could) see an all-heavyweight main card! Dos Santos Vs Overeem Velasquez Vs Mir Antonio Silva Vs Nelson Gonzaga vs Del Rosario Hunt vs Struve
  11. Wow... just wow. So it's ok to kill potentially innocent people as long as your family is safe. Great stuff... what a wonderful world.
  12. I agree with the bar-part. Those guys threatened them so there was not really another option at that time. The decision had to be made very fast. No problem there. But torturing a guy??? Executing him because you're afraid of him? That's something else and in my opinion totally undefendable. Killer zombie world or not.
  13. Sorry... spoiler-tags added!
  14. Is that 'proven' (as far as that is possible) that Edgar vs Henderson would do more buys then Pettis vs Henderson? The latter is a rematch of the 'matrix kick'-fight. That should at least be sellable, no? And Edgar has been a good champ... but he's nowhere near a superstar (not like Jones, Silva or GSP). I don't like the rematch for a couple of reasons: the first fight was not close enough and this puts the lightweight division again in a lock. I'd preferred another contender (Pettis) first and Edgar vs Miller/Diaz winner for the next shot.
  15. Apparently Dana White has decided to 'take his hands off' Strikeforce (the network overruled some of his decisions or something...). I guess that's the beginning of the end then. In a recent interview he said he had something nice lined up for Melendez and I think he might have been referring to BJ Penn or another top lightweight fighter from the UFC. At the last PPV it was pretty clear Melendez would have to face the winner of KJ Noons vs Thomson (again). The biggest loser in all of this is Melendez as he'll have to fight a couple of times more under the Strikeforce banner without any big names going there. After Thomson it's going to be the winner of Pat Healy vs Ryan Couture/Joe Duarte or something... Who else do they have on their roster? I had high hopes with Marquardt entering and Dana seemingly commited to SF and finding an opponent for Melendez. Now I think Strikeforce will end when the contract with the tv network expires...
  16. So one of the guys is a gay porn actor??? Ok... I want that guy against Bisping or Sonnen... right now! Just think about the trash talk...
  17. Mine are: Card- Zhang Tiequan vs Issei Tamura - Decision, R3 Takeya Mizugaki vs Chris Cariso - Submission, R1 Riki Fukuda vs Steve Cantwell - Decision, R3 (bye bye Cantwell) Norifumi Yamamoto vs Vaughan Lee - Submission, R2 Takanori Gomi vs Eiji Mitsuoka - TKO R1 Anthony Pettis vs Joe Lauzon - Decision, R3 Hatsu Hioki vs Bart Palaszewski - Submission, R3 Yushin Okami vs Tim Boetsch - Decision R3 Yoshihiro Akiyama vs Jake Shields - Submission, R1 Mark Hunt vs Cheick Kongo - KO R1 Quinton Jackson vs Ryan Bader - Decision R3 Frankie Edgar vs Benson Henderson - TKO R2 Very excited for this event btw... one of the best cards in years!
  18. And Palhares vs Belcher has been added too. Full main card is: Miller Vs Nate Diaz Koscheck Vs Hendricks Palhares Vs Belcher Barry Vs Laver Johnson Three potential n°1 contender bouts and a hopefully fun heavyweight bout. Should be a good card! I like btw how the welterweight division used to be GSP, Fitch and everyone else. Now we have a potential GSP vs Condit-bout,Ellenberger vs Sanchez and Koscheck vs Hendricks. Maybe Nick Diaz will be back in a year. And let's not rule out Fitch either... That's a great division. EDIT: and then there's Shields, Penn, Kampmann and Rory MacDonald too...
  19. Diego Sanchez vs Jake Ellenberger - Ellenberger via decision (R5) Stefan Struve vs Dave Herman - Struve, via submission (R2) Aaron Simpson vs Ronny Markes - Simpson, via TKO (R2) Stipe Miocic vs Phil De Fries - De Fries, via decision (R3) TJ Dillishaw vs Walel Watson - TJ Dillishaw, via TKO (R3) Ivan Menjivar vs John Albert - ALbert, via KO (R1) Jonathan Brookins vs Vagner Rocha - Brookins, via Submission (R1) Buddy Roberts vs Sean Loeffler - Loeffler, via Decision (R3) Anton Kuivanen vs Justin Salas - Kuivanen, via Submission (R1) Tim Means vs Bernardo Magalhaes - Means, via Decision (R3)
  20. I'm usually not the most violent MMA-fan out there and usually I hope for both guys to make it out of a fight without serious injuries. This will be a first in which I hope Condit breaks something in Diaz. An arm, a leg, his nose... even his neck. Just end the whiner's career please. This rematch shouldn't happen now. It should be Condit vs GSP and Diaz vs ? (winner Ellenberger vs Sanchez?) for n°1 contendership.
  21. (Y) Diaz shows again what a sad guy he is. Taunting guys when you're behind on the scorecard is stupid. And not being able to lose and blame everyone except himself is cute for a five-year-old. For a guy the age of Diaz it's just pathetic. Someone should've told him that losing doesn't force you to act as a loser. He'll be back in a couple of months btw...
  22. Nick Diaz vs Carlos Condit Diaz via KO, round 2 Roy Nelson vs Fabricio Werdum Werdum via Submission, round 2 Josh Koshcheck vs Mike Pierce Koshcheck via Unanimous, round 3 Renan Barao vs Scott Jorgensen Barao via Submission, round 1 Ed Herman vs Clifford Starks Herman via Submission, round 2 Dustin Poirer vs Max Holloway Poirer via KO, round 2 Alex Caceres vs Edwin Figueroa Caceres via Unanimous, round 3 Matt Brown vs Chris Cope Cope via Unanimous, round 3 Matt Riddle vs Henry Martinez Riddle via TKO, round 2 Rafael Natal vs Michael Kuiper Kuiper via TKO, round 1 Dan Stittgen vs Stephen Thompson Stittgen via Split Decision, round 3
  23. I'll be rooting for Condit too... don't like Nick Diaz. Although GSP vs Diaz would be nice... but I guess if Condit beats Diaz, Condit vs GSP will do fine too.
  24. Well... at least the UFC has it's two big fights it wanted: Silva Vs Sonnen (that will be huge in Brazil) and Jones vs Evans. Not impressed by the fights however... but I may have been somewhat of extremely disappointed with Maia's loss. I want the old Maia from before his Marquardt-fight back :-(. Maybe he'll get Bisping next... but I don't think that unless he finds his jiu-jitsu wizardry back, he'll be in title contention any time soon. Sonnen's speech was great. I know some MMA-fans don't like it because they don't want to be compared to the 'fake wrestling' thing... but it's just entertaining. I like his post-match interviews a lot more then the usual 'yeah... it was a hard fight... glad I won... thanks to my coaches, my wife, my friends and my sponsors... oh, and you Joe Rogan!' Next: Diaz vs Condit. If GSP can fight late 2012, that could be another huge title fight in the making!
