Avril Lavigne - Under My Skin

I was bored earlier, looking for a CD to buy, so I chose Under My Skin by Avril.

It is actually really good, I was suprised. Apparently she released 'Nobody's Home' but I never heard it, it is by far the best song on the album, it is fucking brilliant. Anyone else like this album?

Her voice in Nobody's Home is great.

To be honest, while i can't say i like any of her albums, i can say, having listened to them, that let go managed to be better than this one (in my opinion, that is).

I can't say that I'm a fan, partly because the music doesn't appeal to me at all, and partly because she's tragically overexposed here in Canada. By the way she's represented, you'd think Canada is starved for talent, and that she's some kind of shining beacon for Canadian music, neither of which is true.

I won't crucify people for liking it, but it's just not my cup of tea and I'll never understand the popularity.

She writes catchy, pop music and doesn't demean females. It is like Britney Spears minus the sleeze. Heck, you know what, if Avril encourages more girls to go up and pick up guitars, than I'll support her.

Are you saying that she can't sing well? Well, neither can most pop-star. At least Avril is putting forth a valiant effort to create good role models, as opposed to Britney Spears. And at least Avril is getting little girls to pick up guitars and play her songs. Although not ground-breaking, it does it's part to help music go full circle.

She's a whiny bitch with a bad attitude that rates herself far too highly, she can't sign, her lyrics are so stupid, she thinks she's some big ass rock star when all she is, is some greasy faced teen.

I hope she gets raped and loses the confidence to speak/leave her house ever again, then maybe I'll sleep easier knowing the world is a safer place.
