Decent SD. I hope the Rock/JBL feuds heats up instead of just a Rock vs Cabinet Member each week and then an attack afterwards. Same for Eddie and Rey. Id like to see Christian as champion. What was the motivation for Torrie helping Haas and dmacking Storm? Was she just being a good person?

This is, perhaps, the best diary I've read and stuck with in the Dome. The writeups are simple, yet effective. There's no need for Interviews to be written out, as the storylines progress without the large amounts of detail. The graphics compliment the diary well too.

This has been quite an interesting read. Just finished going through the entire diary. Some of the draft picks were quite good, even though I didn't agree with Eddie moving only to be moved back. Reforming La Resistance was good but I felt Dupree could do so much more on his own then they allowed him. I love Storm so I'm glad he's back with something to do. Kane changing shows is a change of scenery but the big task becomes finding him something to do.

I'm enjoying reading the diary, but one thing really pissed me off.

HARDCORE HOLLY BEAT RIC FLAIR CLEANLY ON HEAT.

Apart from that it's a very good read. Hope you maintain the standard without the motivation of the draft lottery to keep you going.

New TV Deals For WWE

July 11th, 2005

The WWE's television contracts with UPN and Spike TV for Smackdown!, RAW and Velocity were due to end within the next couple of months, RAW's being at the end of July. With this known, the WWE has got to talking with Spike and UPN and has agreed 180-day contract extensions for all three shows. There has been no news about Sunday Night Heat, so we presume there's still quite a few months to go on that contract with Spike TV.

WWE RAW Preview

July 11th, 2005

In last week's main event Chris Jericho picked up a narrow victory over the Big Show, but was then destroyed with a monstrous Chokeslam by the 7 footer. Both men are scheduled to be at RAW, we'll see if they cross each other's path.

WWE.com has been informed that Shelton Benjamin has agreed to take part in the 'Gauntlet To The Game' and it will begin this Monday night on RAW. Who Benjamin's opponent will be, only Triple H knows.

The Intercontinental Championship match between Hassan and Benoit ended in a disappointing no contest decision last week with Hassan and Daivari getting into a brawl with Benoit and William Regal. The four men will be in tag team action this week as Chris Benoit and William Regal take on Muhammad Hassan and Khosrow Daivari.

On the RAW debut of Carlito's Cabana, Batista was attacked from behind by Edge. WWE.com understands that Batista will not be at RAW due to the injuries he has suffered at the hands of Edge. Edge will be in action on Monday though, as he squares off against Booker T.

All of this and much, much more on RAW this week!

Confirmed Matches:

Shelton Benjamin vs. ??? - Gauntlet To The Game

Chris Benoit & William Regal vs. Muhammad Hassan & Daivari

Booker T vs. Edge

Segment 1: Carlito's Cabana

(10 Minutes)

The ring was set up for another Carlito's Cabana and Carlito was already in the ring at RAW's start. He said that his guest tonight was a rival - The Highlight Reel's host, Chris Jericho. Jericho got a big ovation from the crowd as he made his way to the ring, holding his back, obviously still feeling the effects of last week's main event match against the Big Show. Carlito told Jericho that he and everyone else knew, that The Highlight Reel was no match for the ratings that the Cabana drew. The Cabana was now the best show on RAW argued Carlito. Jericho laughed it off and said that all the Jerichoholics knew that the Cabana was only good when Chris Jericho was on it. After all, 'how could it be the best show on RAW when it's presented by a huge ass clown?!' Carlito looked mad at Y2J's words, but he continued with the interview, reminding Jericho that Big Show Chokeslammed the life out of Jericho last week. Jericho agreed that it was one hell of a Chokeslam, but it wasn't enough to put away Jericho for good, as he was here on RAW tonight. Jericho then told Carlito that Big Show hadn't heard the last of Chris Jericho.

Overall Rating = 78.7%

Segment 2: Hassan Grabs A Microphone

(8 Minutes)

Muhammad Hassan came to the ring, WWE Intercontinental Title around his waist and Daivari close behind. They were both in ring attire ready for action. Hassan grabbed a microphone and said last week William Regal sabotaged what would have been an 'easy win' for Hassan. He also said that in doing so, Regal cost Chris Benoit his shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Hassan then predicted that he and Daivari would be victorious tonight before Daivari shouted about something in Arabic.

Overall Rating = 82.3%

Segment 3: Chris Benoit & William Regal vs. Muhammad Hassan & Daivari

(16 Minutes)

Benoit and Regal made separate entrances and seemed to not have taken notice of Hassan's words as they worked well together, isolating Daivari early on and also hitting Hassan with a double snap suplex. Daivari managed to escape from their corner by running out of the ring and back to his corner to tag in Hassan. Hassan took down Regal with a clothesline and then a suplex. Hassan applied a rear chin lock, but Regal was able to power out with a back drop. Benoit tagged in and stomped away on Hassan before delivering some stinging chops. Hassan fell victim to a German suplex and The Crippler climbed up-top. Benoit flew off the top rope looking for the headbutt, but Hassan moved and tagged in Daivari. Daivari hit a quick leg drop, a hurricanrana and got a 2 count on Benoit. Regal tagged in as did Hassan. Regal was double-teamed by his opponents, being slammed with a double hip toss. Frequent tags were made between Muhammad and Daivari as they isolated Regal. Hassan locked on the Camel Clutch, but Benoit entered and broke it up. Regal then hit a tiger suplex and made the tag. Benoit came in, knocking down Hassan and then driving Daivari off of the apron with a knee to the gut. Benoit then rocked the Intercontinental Champion with some vicious headbutts and followed up with three German suplexes. Benoit signalled and hit the diving headbutt from the top rope. He couldn't get the pin, but quickly applied the Crippler Crossface. Daivari managed to break it up, but then he was trapped in the Crippler Crossface. Benoit let go and tagged in Regal. A brawl erupted on the outside between all four participants. Hassan re-entered the ring and Benoit followed. Daivari grabbed the ring bell and went to hit Regal with it, but Regal stopped it. The two men tried to snatch the bell away from each other. Regal pulled it away, but the force applied swung the bell backwards, straight into Benoit's head as Hassan was working on him at the ropes. Regal checked on Benoit in the ring but then became a victim of Hassan's Modified STO and a 3 count.

After the match, Hassan and Daivari celebrated on the ramp. Benoit, holding his head, got into an argument with Regal, who tried to apologise. Benoit was having none of it and he shoved Regal away and stormed out of the ring.

Winners: Muhammad Hassan & Daivari

Match Reaction = 76.4%

Match Quality = 67.8%

Overall Rating = 75.2%

Segment 4: An 'Awesome' Debut

(10 Minutes)

Stevie Richards and Tyson Tomko made their ways to the ring and were set for one-on-one action. The match got underway, Tyson Tomko getting the upper hand. Just a couple of minutes in, some unknown theme music was played. Mike Awesome then appeared on the ramp, much to everybody's surprise, especially Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler's. Tomko and Richards stared on from the ring as Awesome walked down the ramp, climbed up the steps and got into the ring. Stevie ran at Awesome, but got drilled with a big boot. Tomko received a big powerslam. Awesome then picked up Stevie and destroyed him with a devastating Awesome Bomb. He knocked down Tyson Tomko and then hit the Awesome Splash from the top rope, leaving everybody in shock. Awesome raised an arm in the air before leaving the ring.

Overall Rating = 65.8%

Segment 5: Tag Team Title Challenge

(9 Minutes)

The World Tag Team Champions, Simon Dean and Maven, came to the ring. Dean took a microphone and started to explain the 'reasons for Simon System's success'. Dean told us that his and Maven's success was down to the Simon System regime. The right amount of healthy food, lots of exercise, and of course Simon's protein shakes, had given the duo the success that they've enjoyed. Heidenreich's music then played and he came out with Eugene. Heidenreich said that he and 'his friend, Eugene' thought that they were a pretty good tag team and wanted a shot at the World Tag Team Championship. Eugene bounced up and down doing the Heidenreich march as his partner spoke. Maven took the microphone and laughed off the challengers, saying they were no match for Simon System, that they were 'a joke team'.

Overall Rating = 70.6%

Segment 6: La Resistance Are Taking Over

(10 Minutes)

La Resistance then interrupted as all three members walked to the ring, Conway waving the French flag. Rene Dupree took a microphone and said that La Resistance agreed with Simon System, Eugene and Heidenreich were not credible title challengers, but La Resistance were. Dupree then demanded a match for the World Tag Team Championship. As Maven stuttered to reply, RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff's music hit and he walked out onto the stage.

Overall Rating = 69.0%

Segment 7: World Tag Team Titles #1 Contenders Match Made

(2 Minutes)

Bischoff said he had heard enough. The RAW tag team division was obviously bursting with talent, he said, so he was going to make a decision that should make everyone happy. Bischoff took us back to the RAW before Vengeance when a number one contenders match for the World Tag Team Championship took place. It was a four team elimination match and Simon System defeated Regal & Tajiri, La Resistance and The Heart Throbs, and then went on to win the Tag Team Championship at Vengeance. Bischoff said he thought that type of match was a great way to showcase all of the tag team talent on RAW, so he was going to do it again. Next week on RAW, announced the GM, there will be another four team elimination match to determine the number one contenders. It will be La Resistance (whatever pairing they choose) versus Eugene & Heidenreich versus The Heart Throbs versus The Hurricane & Rosey! Everybody in the ring seemed to be happy about Bischoff's choice.

Overall Rating = 77.4%

Segment 8: Booker T w/Sharmell vs. Edge w/Lita

(13 Minutes)

Booker T and Edge locked up in the middle of the ring to start things off. Edge began to get frustrated as he was backed into the corner several times by the Bookerman. Edge then lost his temper, shoving Booker away. Booker came back with a loud chop that stung the chest of Edge. After a couple more chops, Booker T sent Edge across the ring and hit an outside crescent kick. Edge was flipped over onto the apron, but he pulled Booker's hair, slamming him down to the canvas. Edge then hit a leg drop from the second rope for a 2 count. Edge wore down Booker with a knee to the back as he held him in a rear chin lock. Booker was able to fight out of the hold and he rocked Edge with a superkick, sending Edge rolling to the outside. Lita tried to intervene, but Booker caught her hand. Edge took his chance and attacked Booker from behind. Back in the ring Edge planted his opponent with a nice suplex. Edge then set Booker T up for what looked to be a powerbomb, but Booker countered, sending Edge into the ropes and hitting a spinebuster. Booker then went to go for a Spin-A-Roonie, but he caught sight of Sharmell and Lita arguing on the outside. The referee tried to separate the two, but couldn't stop Lita from smacking Sharmell across the face. The referee broke the two up as Edge hit Booker with a low blow. He then hit the Spear and got the 3 count.

Lita entered the ring and celebrated with Edge. Edge began to put the boots to Booker T, but Batista made an unscheduled appearance, chasing Edge and Lita out of the ring and through the crowd.

Winner: Edge

Match Reaction = 77.2%

Match Quality = 66.8%

Overall Rating = 75.5%

Segment 9: Smackdown! Rebound

(10 Minutes)

The Smackdown! Rebound was shown, recapping all of the events that took place last week, including Angle accepting HBK's challenge, Christian attacking and challenging John Cena and the main event where The Rock defeated Orlando Jordan in singles action.

Overall Rating = 86.0%

Segment 10: The Gauntlet Begins

(6 Minutes)

We cut backstage to see Triple H and Ric Flair. The Game tells us that Shelton's 'Gauntlet To The Game' would begin in a matter of moments and it was time to reveal his first opponent... The Big Show! Triple H laughed and Ric Flair yelled 'Woooo!' as we went back to ringside.

Overall Rating = 84.2%

Segment 11: Main Event

Gauntlet To The Game (Match 1)

Shelton Benjamin vs. Big Show

(14 Minutes)

Shelton Benjamin looked a bit worried as Big Show made his way to the ring, a big angry look on his face. On commentary, Jerry Lawler doubted whether Shelton could beat Big Show, saying that the size difference was overwhelming. Shelton gave it his all in the early going, using a hit-and-run style and utilising his speed advantage. He hit Show with a flying clothesline from the top rope, taking the big man down to the canvas. Big Show powered out of the pinfall attempt, though. Show then caught Shelton from a cross body block and hit a big backbreaker. Show then waffled Shelton with a couple of clotheslines and a big boot. Show signalled for the Chokeslam, but Shelton was able to counter in mid-air with a kick to his opponent's face. Shelton then knocked Big Show out of the ring with three dropkicks before lunging over the top rope onto him on the outside. Benjamin then jumped off the steel ring steps and connected with a stiff kick to the chest. Triple H then walked down the ramp, looking furious. Shelton got back in the ring as Triple H encouraged Big Show to get back up. Shelton took the opportunity to once again leap from the ring, landing on both Big Show and Triple H. Benjamin returned to the ring to find Ric Flair. Flair went to attack Shelton, but Benjamin was ready and he drilled Flair with a T-Bone Suplex. He then turned straight into Big Show's fist. The referee tried to get Flair and Triple H away as Big Show grabbed Shelton by the throat. He lifted him up for the Chokeslam, but was hit in the back with a steel chair by Chris Jericho who had come out of nowhere. Jericho hit Show with the chair twice in the head, knocking him down. Jericho placed the chair on Show's stomach and hit the Lionsault. Shelton got the 3 count.

After the match, Triple H and Ric Flair stared down Shelton Benjamin from the ramp as RAW went off the air.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin

Match Reaction = 77.6%

Match Quality = 67.6%

Overall Rating = 81.9%

RAW Rating: 60.1%

Attendance: 9,230

Good Raw. Awesome debuting surprised me. I saw the point in the way the Shelton/Show match ended, but I hope Benjamin gets some cleans wins in the gauntlet, too, so he looks credible to face Triple H.

WWE Smackdown! Preview

July 14th, 2005

In last week's main event, The Rock defeated Orlando Jordan and then cleaned house on The Cabinet - except for JBL who would not get involved. Rock seems to be desperate to get his hands on JBL and prove whose show Smackdown! really is. The two will be in attendance on Thursday.

Shawn Michaels' WrestleMania 21 rematch challenge was accepted by Kurt Angle last Thursday. The two will collide as part of the tag team main event this week. Christian challenged John Cena to a match at the Great American Bash for the WWE Title last week, will we get a response from the champion? Both men join Angle and HBK in the main event as Cena teams up with Michaels to take on the team of Christian and Angle.

Eddie Guerrero returned to Smackdown! last week via a trade. He cost Rey Mysterio his place in the Cruiserweight Title #1 Contender Tournament. It's inevitable that the two will clash again this Thursday, but in what way?

Last week, Torrie tried to come to the aid of Charlie Haas as he was assaulted by Lance Storm and Dawn Marie. Torrie only got beat down herself, though. We'll see what happens between these superstars and divas.

The Dudley Boyz sent a message to MNM last week, driving Billy Kidman through a table. This week D-Von Dudley and Johnny Nitro will go one-on-one.

You don't want to miss Smackdown! this week!

Confirmed Matches:

John Cena & Shawn Michaels vs. Christian & Kurt Angle

D-Von Dudley w/Bubba Ray Dudley vs. Johnny Nitro w/Joey Mercury, Melina

Super Crazy vs. Psychosis - Cruiserweight Title #1 Contender Tournament Semi-Final
