Am I the only Eagles fan around here?!?!?!

I had the eagles on my list. And they are GREAT live, I saw them this past March and if anyone gets the chance to see them DO IT.

as for the Nirvana comments I'm saying that the bands I listed have put out so many great songs that you can't NOT have them on the top 10 or 25. Yes, Nirvana has some good songs but they aren't one of those great classic bands. Rock from the 90's and nowadays are kind of I guess you could say 2nd best in my opinoin. Classic Rock rules all for now until another band like Zep comes along and blows us all away.

Funky, I didn't mean "Van Halen are cheesy, OMG TEH ZUX0RZ", as I like them myself. I just mean that there are bones you can pick with a lot of the bands anyone puts down on these lists (and Van Halen being cheesy was one of the easiest things to pick on). There is no such thing as the perfect band who everyone loves.

1.) Sigur Rós

2.) Radiohead

3.) The Smiths

4.) The Velvet Underground

5.) Joy Division

6.) The Cure

7.) Bad Religion

8.) The Clash

9.) The Fall

10.) A Perfect Circle

I should have voted Iggy Pop in on a technicality, but meh, I'm in an APC mood lately, so the 'Godfather of Punk' gets to look out on the list. As do others who normally go on my top 10 list (Bowie, Cat Power, Aesop Rock).

I didn't bother with the power metal bands, because there wouldn't be a great deal of point. So I limited it to my favourite bands that other people have actually heard of :P

1, Judas Priest

2, Iron Maiden

3, Blind Guardian (well rvdwannabe at least has heard of them, so there's hope ¬_¬)

4, Iced Earth

5, Disturbed

6, Metallica

7, Machinehead

8, Black Sabbath

9, InMe

10, Placebo

You guys the list is almost done, I just need to break 2 ties:

Matchup 1:

The Who vs. Soundgarden

Who deserves to be in the top 25 between those 2 bands?

Matchup 2:

Pick two of the following to gain an entry to the top 25:

Lynard Skynard, Joy Division, The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

By the way, thanks to everyone for participating (Y)
