3D Wrestling Game

While looking at the ROH Message Board, I entered a topic about a possible ROH game. They said that the creater of this game, Wrestling Mpire, is considering doing a ROH game.

This is a demo of the game. Some of you might enjoy it, as it is a game you actually control the character from his entrance (walk around during his entrance) and actually play as that character. You can enter the back stage area and all that sort of stuff, too.

I didn't play much, but it was alright. Nothing I'd pay for, though.

His pride is not in his graphics, but the gameplay. However, for fans who have grown accustomed to the Smackdown and DoR series, it's a huge step backwards.

And I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but while I LOVED playing Pong back in the day, the graphics sucked compared to anything made in the last 10 years. If someone reinvented Pong with utterly amazing gameplay yet the game looked the same, would it sell?

Why not try to incorporate the fantastic gameplay you say he has with some at least half assed decent graphics? If he can't do the graphics up to snuff, perhaps he needs to find help from someone who can? I mean, if you're charging $15 for something it better LOOK like its worth $15 yannow?

I don't think theres much of a problem with it. I know it's not the greatest looking game in the world but c'mon, Smackdown costs £30-40 and this costs what, £10? I'm sure we'd all love it if AKI came back and made a Indie game but for now we don't have many wrestling games out there and I give Mat credit for actually going for it.

More like £7.50

From what I've read from him, he prides himself on being solely responsible for everything in the game, and I think he does a good job. The graphics are passable, but I wouldn't pay for it. Other than the hit to his pride, I don't see what harm wold be done from him hiring a graphics specialist.

I'm pretty sure he charges £10 English. I don't see whats stopping people paying via $'s, unless he checks your shipping adress. :P

I'm just waiting for him to come on and defend himself now, i've seen him post a few times here lately.

I don't care how playable it is, if he doesn't improve the graphics, he'll never create a fanbase outside of internet wresting forums.

Actually Sure Shot was featured in a PC games magazine and Mat has had some articles written about him in mags and newspapers. One of the newspaper ones was because of his MJ game but still it's coverage. Plus it depends on if you're talking about his wrestling games or his games in general. How would he go about being more than just a cult thing on the net, is he gonna buy advertising or something?

I'd pay for the game if I didn't have to order it online, I hate doing that. His wrestling games are awesome and I don't do much more than just watch crazy deathmatches. I've had a person lose bother of their legs, both of their arms, and they were horribly disfigured and burnt...and he only lost an arm perminately. I've also had a few people die.

I like his Popstar game aswell.
