How are you guys getting to watch the draw this friday? Any major TV network got it or is it a case of the internet? Just wondering as I ask a bit for a couple of learning Americans getting into the sport.

I dont know about nobody caring about the World Cup cause I have cared about it atleast the last 2 cycles so there is atleast one person over here, and it really pretty much has a cult following over here right now so no major network is likely to air it. That said they will probaly put the results of the draw on ESPN after it happens.

Coca Cola cup? I know a Carling cup, but not a coke one.

The Coca Cola Cup was the name for the Carling Cup (League Cup) during the 90s. Then it changed to Worthington Cup, then Carling Cup.

As an American footy fan, I'm interested to see who the USA gets put up against. I watched every USA game during the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan (meant quite a few sleepless nights ), and I intend on doing the same for Germany 2006.

Yeah I was one of the fan's that got up for the 4:00 am games especially the one agianst Mexico which I was glad to have seen. I also just realized that they are airing the draw in the US on ESPN 2 so I will be watching it when it starts at 3 pm later today.

I love Maryland soccer. My Spanish teacher last year played for them before they became one of the top schools in the nation.

As for the World Cup Draw. U.S. got burned, badly. Italy, Ghana, and the Czech Republic are all very, very good opponents.

As for Portugal: Iran, Mexico and Angola. Mexico won't be easy, Angola runs like hell and i've never seen Iran play :ohwell:
