Group E may be the best group in the Cup in a long time. Italy may not even get through.

And on top of that, the second place team gets Brazil. Talk about hell on earth.

You are aware this is Group E:

Group E -

Italy.

Czech Republic.

Ghana.

United States Of America.

...?

Group C is packed with good/awesome teams of Argentina, Ivory Coast, Serbia and Holland. Italy are awesome, Czechs are good, Ghana are shite and the US are average (although they did well last time).

It sucks that Ireland didn't qualify. They used to be great underdogs.

Actually, it's not South Korea, is it? It's the Korean Republic - North Korea took the first step and agreed to let their players join with South Korea's for the World Cup. Who knows, we could even see this leading to a reformed Korea, which I would love to see in my life (I have a very strange attraction to Korea for some reason)

Great, we get stuck with Italy and Czech Republic. Despite the steps the US made in 2002, I forsee major difficulties coming out of that group with a round of 16 spot.

What I want: Italy/USA

What will probably happen: Italy/Czech Republic

What will DEFINITELY happen: Magoo will end up disappointed when the USA gets eliminated. :P

How many Ghana games have you seen?

Group C is much better. I had Serbia tipped to do something special but thats seemingly gone down the pan :(.

Australias group went from terrible for them to realistic chance of second at a push.

And Ukraine are being underrated if you ask me, they've only never been to a world cup before because Europe is so strong - they could be a bit of a disaster team to play against if you ask me.

That draw did me head in at times. Did they really need to draw out Serbia, and then after putting them with the Argies they draw out Brazil and Mexico as well.

Yes, thus proving that all 3 balls didn't contain Argentina, which would mean the draw was rigged.

My Picks

Group A

Germany

Poland

Group B

England

Sweden

Group C

Argentina

Netherlands

Group D

Portugal

Mexico

Group E

Italy

Czech Republic

Group F

Brazil

Croatia

Group G

France

Switzerland

Group H

Spain

Ukraine

I'm delighted with the draw, easy points against T&T, We usually get a point off Sweden and even if we draw at Paraguay which we shouldn't we should still get through. That could lead us to Poland in the next round and that's easy enough. It couldn't have been much better.

One thing I didn't get was making sure no group had over two European teams.

Why not? :ohwell:

Because it makes it so that the groups are more equal, I guess.

There are a lot more strong groups in this tournament than usual, I'd say, so worked in my eyes.

I watched the draw in BW3's, a sports bar type thing... I was hoping for USA to get in the group they drew because of Italy. Really wanted to see the matchup.

I could tell you how the match is going to go now, if you want?

US try and play attractive football, Italy stiffle all thier oppurtunities, score one goal, and sit on the lead.

Italy 1-0 US

I hate Italy.
