So the fact that they have got done for corruption and buying "easy" refereees for games that involve them, yet you don't see those titltes as being "bought"?

Don't get me wrong, they have really good players, but still........there is soo much evidence against them, they deserve having the titles taken from them.

Yeah, I don't really see how Juve did not buy both titles when a whole bunch of referees decided the offside rule no longer applied to them after getting bribed :shifty:

On the other hand, early reports indicate Del Pierro to have pledged his future to the club.

I don't know how I feel about this new modest del Piero. On one hand, he's a better player than he was a few years ago. On the other, he's clearly better than Serie B. Can't he be ungrateful in just this instance?

No, because they didn't fix the world cup, and France deserve it less than San Marino. :shifty:

Yeah, but those players who helped fix the games should be banned, if not for life, then for a long time.

Wow. What a few years for Fiorentina. I'll be honest, I've loved Fiorentina ever since their Batistuta days. Filed for bankruptcy, relegated, promoted, and now this.

Del Piero is a Juventus faithful.

Great, Kraigy can't even go one topic without talking about Football Manager. :shifty: Addict.

But to be honest I believe that ruling was very harsh on Fiorentina and Lazio. I like both teams, have always admired their play when they were at their best. Considering Juventus are more guilty than anyone, and they practically get the same punishment is unfair.

I can't believe some Juventus officials are complaining about this, or any Juventus fans for that matter. They fucking cheated, and got caught, now accept it.

And Lazio fans show their anger by giving the Fascist salute outside the hotel the verdict was made. =/

If Juve go into Serie C then they are more or less fucked completely, those who stayed with them in Serie B will know that their careers are in complete limbo and jump ship, they'll be left in Serie C with no decent players and a mountain of debt. In other words they will be no longer an italian superpower, more like a local side that you see getting thrashed day in day out.

Admittedly, if the clubs are true to their word ( :lmao: ) then we might see the same shake-ups in leagues all over europe, which could be a good thing for football if it means that it is played much fairer and without corruption. Then again maybe Italy WAS the only country that featured corruption in the football, but if four teams can get caught like that, maybe it is more widespread than we think.

On a sidenote, wouldnt the teams be fucked if they played each other in the leagues normally?

Also if these clubs are going into the equivelent of division 2, would the rules be less strict, meaning that someone could severely injure a key juve player with a crunching tackle that they don't usually expect?

Wasn't Lazio the club that resisted Mussolini's attempt to merge all the clubs in Rome?

Oh how times have changed.

I'm happy for this since it'll make Serie A a lot more competitive next year. AS Roma looks like the favorites since Milan has the 15 point penalty.

Inter didn't go down...

And I'm not an FM addict. I just...like it. (¬_¬)

Serie B is ruthless, Juventus probably won't make it back up, due to their weakened squad. It's a shame we'll have to wait for a Juventus/Torino derby though.

I hope to god Torino wins that.

Oh, and yeah, I was trying to put together the best clubs in Italy and for some reason I forgot the bastion of Italian fair play, FC Internazionale. So yeah, they and AS Roma I would say are the favorites.
