Band/artist you have the most CD's of?

Am I the only person who doesn't buy singles? Or EP's, to some extent?

I never buy singles or EP's at all. Any EP's or Demo's I have are burned, but also originated from the 1970s/80s and had maybe 300 copies pressed.

Anyway, the winner in my cd collection is Nomeansno.

Why Do They Call Me Mr. Happy?

In second place is...Oi Polloi

Total Anarchoi

Most of my other favorites only recorded one or two albums, or have one large album that is a complete discography, No Alternative and The Rotters being the biggest examples.

In A Coma

About fifteen releases then, counting the IAC/HT stuff as seperate rather then a package. However, I also own 11 disks worth of John Williams soundtrack stuff for Star Wars, and my dad has a few of them duplicated along with other stuff he did in his vinyl collection, so it's close. My Radiohead collection is creeping up there, with 4 albums and two EPs, and with two new disks out this year, it'll be a race...

I can't be bothered going and counting, but I'm fairly sure it's Motörhead, definitely is if you include cassettes and vinyl too. Which is bizarre, as I haven't bought a Motörhead CD in years. Tom Waits and Jeff Buckley are probably close, though.

It's odd...most bands I get into have either had only one or two albums, so I'll get them, or have had loads, and I never know where to start, so I'll just buy a random one and then move on to something else before I bother getting the rest.

In terms of owning the highest portion of a band's overall output, I'd say the Beatles as I have pretty much everything minus Magical Mystery Tour and the compilations.

In terms of having the most CDs, Bob Dylan. I own...

- Bob Dylan

- The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan

- Another Side of Bob Dylan

- The Times They Are A-Changin'

- Highway 61 Revisited

- Bringin' It All Back Home

- Blonde on Blonde

- John Wesley Harding

- The Basement Tapes

- Nashville Skyline

- Planet Waves

- Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid OST

- Blood on the Tracks

- Desire

- Infidels

- Oh Mercy

- Time Out of Mind

- Love and Theft

- Bootleg 1-3 Rarities

- Hard Rain (live)

- Live 1964

- Live 1966

- Live 1975

- Interviews 1965-6

- No Direction Home OST

- Essential

- Greatest Hits

- More Greatest Hits

And a ton of bootlegs also. There's a bit of a gap in the chronology in the mid-80s, but that should get filled in soon enough, fingers crossed.

Has to be Blink 182 for me.

Buddha

Chesire Cat

Dude Ranch

Enema Of The State

Take Off Your Pants And Jacket

The Mark and Travis Show

Blink 182

Greatest Hits

I have all of these except the greatest hits album (since it's essentially just the singles anyway).

After them it's probably either The Get Up Kids or Jimmy Eat World.

Get Up Kids

Four Minute Mile

Eudora

Guilt Show

Red Letter Day

On A Wire

Something To Write Home About

I also have their "Live at the Granada Theatre" Cd, which doesn't really have anything new on but still...

Jimmy Eat World

Static Prevails

Bleed American (Jimmy Eat World)

Jimmy Eat World (EP)

Singles

Futures

Maximum Jimmy Eat World

Stay On My Side Tonight

Ohhh a tie, whadd'ya know?
