To be fair, you're actually quoting the gutter press you earlier slagged off. No right minded Englishman actually wants to kill Urs Meier. Every England supporter in this thread has accepted we didn't play well enough to win the game, which is why nobody is over-the-top angry that we're out. Against France we were gutted, but not robbed. It was two English errors that lost us that game, so thats utter bollocks. The only possible reason to claim we were robbed was that Silvestre wasn't sent off, FIFA regulations would state he should be, but the referee exercised common sense and booked him.

Back to Portugal, I haven't heard of this rule you are explaining (I'm not saying it doesn't exist), but in my opinion John Terry was not obstructing Ricardo from the ball. Ricardo is ridiculously out of position, stumbling, and completely unable to get to Sol Campbell (Ricardo is on the ground, Campbell is a few inches taller standing directly under the ball). John Terrys 'obstruction' consists of Ricardo jumping weakly into Terrys arm which is outstretched for his jump.
