The Toronto Maple Leafs message boards on their site is full of people worried about the new jerseys, even though it is obvious that, as an Original Six team, they will be keeping the current jerseys with only minor changes, like maybe dropping the TLM logo from the shoulder. Thats all.

I would be angry to see Montreal, Toronto, New York, Chicago, Detroit or Boston radically change their look. Some of the designs people have gotten that are obvious Photoshopped have looked atrocious.

I really like the new Columbus logo/jersey. And the Islanders new jerseys are cool, despite still having a shade of orange that burns the retina.

Toronto could use a new jersey. They stole the blue Maple Leaf from us between 1910-1912 Montreal had both a Blue Maple Leaf and a Maple leaf as their logo. It took till something like 1926 for those usurpers in Toronto to take it.

Intersting fact about Toronto and possibly the only reason I love Toronto. The NHL was formed to exclude an owner who happened to own a Toronto Franchise. So in my head I can say that the NHL was formed to exclude Toronto... at least at first.

I don't know Toronto geography too well but are there any World Class mountains around Toronto? also I think the IOC would realize that if Toronto won an olympic bid the collective ego of the city would literally sink it some 10,000 feet.

So yeah, Goaltender Matt Zaba signed with the Rangers yesterday, Wes O'Neil and Whyatt Smith sign with the Aves. And Ed Belfore seems to be headed to Sweden.

The only reason I know this? I had to read sports news yesterday on air.
