8 1/2 should clearly be on that top list, as its one of the greatest movies of all time and almost certainly didn't make the list.

Perfectly fine assortment. Except for maybe Saw.

And Seven Samurai not making the cut is appalling and criminal.

IMO, that's the best part of this list. There are movies covering many genres of film, from at least three different countries, and from a wide time span.

Oh, I agree. It's a nice variety. I'm just not big on Saw.

All worthwhile. I was hoping Chasing Amy would get a bit higher, but still, this is a really good list so far. Don't fuck this one up, EWB.

No 2001? No Back to the Future P2? No Edward Scissorhands? = Thumbs Down

Chasing Amy = Thumbs Up

Saw = Thumb in the middle

Halloween = 2 Thumbs Up

Kill Bill ONLY at #43 = Thumbs Down

Mixed reactions so far.

Although some of the omissions I am dissapionted with (Spiderman 2, 2001, Star Wars and Lord of The Rings:The Fellowship of the Ring, Superman, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly), you can't please everybody especially with just 50 films. The list is pretty good so far, and maybe you should do what ROC does with his 50 Top Women threads and have one every couple of months.

Looking forward to the rest of the list!
