Beckham to leave Real

Beckham's also gonna have the Sheva effect, where he can expect to not be a good because he's gonna have three players around him all the time. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if some Mexican twat decides to take out his knee during El Angelino, It happens every single time >_>

Well, he may be past his prime but like it's been said; No player of Beckham's quality is going to go to the U.S.A in their prime.

I just have to say good luck to him. I hope he has the impact on the game over there that we all expect him to.

There's talk of FC Dallas bringing in Edgar Davids now. I actually rate Davis higher than Beckham, so it's a pretty decent idea in my opinion. But I doubt he'd stay for 5 years, nor if he can even play for five more years. His Spurs showings weren't exactly trailblazing, but he was pretty solid and he's generally very reliable. Not to mention his glasses kick ass and will be replicated to hell in the US if he goes. (¬_¬)

Fuck this is stupid. Americans won't accept MLS as a mainstream sport unless they have the best players in the world, and the best players in the world are smart enough not to come to the US. This is nothing other than a few egos getting their names to new places.

Well Pele did manage to bring a large amount popularity to the American game when he played. I was watching a documentary that on him showing the impact he had on American soccer, to the point where they were putting 50,000 + in the seats at Dodger's stadium in New York.

Now I understand comparing Beckham to Pele is like Sundin to Gretzky, sure Sudin is a great player and a fan favourite where he plays, but he sure as hell ain't no Gretzky by a county mile at least I reckon. But, the interest is there if the right people are I suppose.

The "lol, fag it's football/no fag, it's soccer" argument is for shitcunts who need to die, but yeah, there's still overtime, and that's just sad really.

Actually the player of the year is the MVP. Isn't it?

I think they use it for individual games as well as season-long awards. So you can have the 'Most Valuable Player' of one game as well as the 'MVP' of the season or the 'MVP' of the playoffs.

You're going to die.
