IGN just confirmed Custom Music for the XBox 360 version:

SDvR2008 Progress Report

Fuck yes. Call me crazy, but this announcement is the clincher for me. I'm definitely buying the damn game.

I remember as a kid dreaming this up for games like Warzone and Attitude, so it's cool as shit to see it make it into the game.

I havent read anything about the game other than the recent progress report on IGN, but Im sure that just means the trade-a-CAW feature that was in the last game(s?) It'd be cool to see downloadable content to help the game feel up-to-date and also keep the series up to standard of other games, more specifically sports games, though I'm sure with the yearly series update, the production of new wrestlers from scratch might take away from development time.

Though dowloadable CAW attire etc doesn't seem like it'd be that much of a problem.

You should be able to, because last time if you wanted you use custom music, you just play it on the dashboard, but on this game, when you create an entrance, you choose what music they have there, so it should have crowd reactions as well.

I have a question though, how come CM Punk doesn't have all his tattoo's?

Probably an issue with the Pepsi logo being trademarked.

Once you get over the grief of not being able to play as any ECW dude -- with the exception of Johnny Nitro on Raw -- you can begin your dream of becoming a WWE Legend with one of 19 available wrestlers.

19? Fucking unreal.

It's typical, they announce the custom themes for wrestlers and get me excited, then they go and make a completely fucking erroneous decision such as this? Why? What is the possible thought process when thinking "Hey, let's take away the gamers freedom by limiting the number of wrestlers they can begin a career with?". How do they think this constitutes a good idea, or will win them over fans? I don't give a flying fuck if there is no voice over work for certain wrestlers, just let me do a career with whoever the fuck I want.

It's more that they didn't find a way to slot ECW into the story-mode. Not sticking up for them, as I really wanted to do 24/7 with Elijah Burke, but I'll just as happily go through it with a caw. Every game has it's drawbacks, and as far as only being able to pick 19 wrestlers in story-mode, this is a very very minor one.

...not really? When you have a 40 odd person roster, only allowing 19 of those people to be used in story mode is retarded. It would be like releasing Football Manager and only letting you play as Spanish clubs. Makes no sense, severely limits the game, and kills a lot of potential replay value.

I just hope it's changed for the finished game, since the reviewer did say it wasn't the final build, the 19 may just have been a demo of sorts. That being said, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was the finished product, and yes it is somewhat of a major drawback. Having a 40+ man roster and only being able to get 19 of them into a voice recording booth is a minor drawback. Having 40 and only being allowed to use 19 in what is probably the biggest single-player mode, is not.
