So, when's the RBN coming to the PS3? Or is it just a 360 thing? The only reason that I am curious is that I could've sworn that I read about it coming to the PS3 sooner or later, yet there doesn't seem to be anything involving a PS3 release from what I have read recently.

I'll break RBN down for PS3 users.

They might not get the RBN program that allows them to create songs because at the moment the tools that are used to make the songs have been authored by Microsoft.

The songs however will be coming to the PS3 through a RBN store. I hear songs have a 30 day exclusiveness deal going on with the 360(which sucks but hey, they actually have to make modifications to each song before they can be approved on the PS3 store)

I 'think' that the PS3 will get RBN for song creation once someone creates a program that can be used on the PS3... but at the moment it's just easier to create them on the 360 and port them over.

Adding to the RBN thing It has been noted that only the popular songs (most downloaded) are going to ported over to the PS3 so there won't be nearly the same amount, but anything is better than nothing I guess.

They've released four songs: My Generation, Summertime Blues, and Young Man Blues were Live at Leeds songs in The Best of The Who track pack and then they released another Live at Leeds song, Magic Bus, as a single song later on.

These are among the more than 400 artists currently available through the Rock Band platform. With more than 1,000 songs available, Rock Band is, without question, the industry leader in providing the best selection of interactive musical content, songs and artists.

Otis Redding’s short career has been celebrated many times over. A rumour is flying around that the Rock Band Network storefront will open today

So you'll be able to start buying songs (if you own a Xbox 360, I'm guessing the network will be open in a limited way today, or will wait a week or so until people work out what DLC is selling well)
