Get the mother fuck in there son, Craig Gordon. Over payed? Yes. But that's the story of the year this year.

Don't worry, when Gordon's passed his phenomenal days and just becomes a good-great goalkeeper, we'll give him to you Villa. Much like Sorenson.

Hard luck Lost Soul, I like Villa but obviously I wanted Gordon here. If we didn't though, I wouldn't have been disappointed to see him go to a side like Villa.

Still, yay us :D

Apparently the deal ISN'T 100% wrapped up yet, with many Villa fans expecting a relapse of the MON nicking Harewood on Wigan.

I believe he's off to Sunderland, its probably those fans clutching at straws. Interesting note - the Sunderland website hasn't confirmed the transfer yet either.

Confusing? Yeh.

Sunderland offered £9m. Villa haggled about with the price. Sunderland's offer was accepted. Gordon is supposed to have told his agents to find out about the Villa deal, he got on with the Sunderland offer, and has verbally agreed to join..supposidly. I dunno, we'll have to wait till later on today. Could there be a twist?

And the knives have been sharpened on many Villa forums.

To be fair, Villa could be classed as "World Class" already, after their 3-0 demolition of Inter :P

..But yeh, it can be annoying when teams seem way more active in the transfer window than your own team.

He's always saying how his parents and family love Everton so moving their is a dream. I hardly imagine holding out and moving to Everton is a dream move for any Liverpool fan.

And LS, yeah, I realise we may still not sign him - it's especially more worrying when you look at Ghaly and Mido with Birmingham, and Dyer with West Ham, the on going saga with Tevez to Man Utd. Can't help but expect a spanner to be in the works can you?

underland boss Roy Keane expects to complete the signing of Hearts keeper Craig Gordon on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old Scotland international is set to become Sunderland's record signing in a £9m move, after agreeing to a five-year deal.

"Hopefully it will be finalised later today," said Keane.

"It's been a hard deal. The club's chief executive Peter Walker has worked extremely hard, and now we're almost over the finishing line."

Gordon will become the most expensive goalkeeper in British history, but Keane is in no doubt that he is worth the money.

To me that looks like it's pretty mucgh done.

And Everton want Yakubu.

Baines supported Liverpool, he said in an interview with FourFourTwo. In the BBC article he says that his family are all Everton fans, not himself.

Not surprised we didn't go for him though. We've got Riise, Aurelio and Insua at left back and he's not a centre back. If we're going to sign another defender it'll be Heinze or Chiellini.

You'll sign Heinze over my dead body :P

Not me. My club has made like two major signings and that's fine by me. Depends how much you think your club needs improving on a realistic scale.

Yeah, because he's really going to come out and say "I didn't support Everton no, I supported their rivals Liverpool"

As a boy I supported... Liverpool. As a local lad I used to watch from The Kop when Robbie Fowler was making his name. I started out at Liverpool's Centre of Excellence and although it was disappointing when nothing came of it, I was lucky that both Wigan and Wolves wanted to sign me.
