Tim Lovejoy is quitting his job presenting Sky's Soccer AM after 10 years.

Lovejoy was also a producer on the Sky Sports 1 magazine show, which has been simulcast on Sky One since March.

His co-presenter, Helen Chamberlain, is to remain with the show, which will return for the new 2007/8 season. A new host will be announced shortly.

Sky said Lovejoy, who also presents BBC Two's Sunday show Something for the Weekend, was looking for a "change of life direction," with some reports linking him to a new celebrity entertainment show for Simon Fuller's 19 TV.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!! It will now officially suck. :( They should just cycle 'presenters' with everyone on the staff. Like have Rocket kicked off after like 5 minutes. :shifty:

In parts Soccer AM got a bit dull, but when they get it right it can be one of the funniest things on TV.

I always thought Lovejoy was a massive tosser, but that's what made the show work. The All Sports guy is too much of a nice guy.

Am I the only one that wishes Soccer AM was shorter? Start at 10am, no self-respecting person gets up a 9am on Saturday on purpose unless it's to watch cartoons...and you're 8 years old (or to go to work...lol, work). There's far too many shitty guests. And not enough Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland coverage. Not even an SPL goals bit. :(

Will they be getting rid of the Wembley shoot-out thing next season? I'll miss it.

That's what the Soccer AM Best Bits show is for, it cuts out all the rubbish from the 3 hour show. Well, nearly all of it. I'm normally up by half 8 cause I do all my laundry on a Saturday morning since everyone else in my house is out or still asleep.

Yeah, they should be changing the game. They used to change it nearly every season. They only kept the Wembley one for two seasons to mock the fact that the real Wembley still hadn't been finished.
