Xbox Live is down at the moment. I was actually going to play some Halo tonight (since I currently suck) but all of LIVE is down at the moment, probably due to something dealing with the Holidays.

Fucking annoying that is. I logged in. Kicked me off. Logged in again, kicked me off. Then I couldn't get on at all.

Why would they wait until the weekend during a holiday to do maintenance? To piss of the maximum number of people?

They've made some changes to the maps, like removing maulers and replacing regens with bubble shields. Also, no more race for the underground bit in Snowbound, as the shotugn has been removed. Replaced with a beam rifle, or so I've read.

I finally got my copy back, so next time you guys have a big EWB game, or Fitzy and LL are bored, invite me in. I haven't had a chance to play the new maps yet, and thus will be my excuse for sucking for the forseeable future.

a. Construct

i. Removed both Maulers from the top level. No replacement.

ii. Changed both Maulers on the bottom level to respawn time: 60 seconds.

b. Epitaph

i. Removed both Maulers, replaced them with SMGs. SMG respawn rate – 30 seconds. Two spare clips.

c. Guardian

i. Removed Maulers (3 Maulers total). No replacements

ii. Removed Flare (see issue #1)

d. Isolation

i. Changed Mauler respawn time: 60 seconds. (2 Maulers total)

ii. Removed flare (see issue #1)

e. Narrows

i. Removed one Mauler from beside the barricade.

ii. Remaining Mauler centered behind the barrier. Respawn time 60 seconds.

iii. Duplicated on either side.

iv. Removed Radar Jammer

f. The Pit

i. Increased Mauler respawn time to 60 seconds. (4 total Maulers)

So they've survived in some cases. One of my favourite moments was killing you on Epitath with dual maulers so i'm a little disheartned to see them go. I know they're pretty cheap but eh, life moves on.

Maulers aren't exactly cheap, double maulers is the exact same as a shotgun.

My Xbox Live subscription is up and I probably won't renew it for a bit (only ever played Halo 3 really, and that was getting frustrating as hell), so just like Rudolph I won't be able to join in any of your games I'm afraid.

No one has played for ages. I saw LL on last night, and squeak and someone else I think, but they were all in different games, and someone was using the Heroic pack, which I'm really in two minds about getting. It's supposed to be being made free when the second pack comes out around Easter, so I think I'd rather wait for that and essentially get two packs for the price of one.

I was going to invite everyone, but I played a round of Slayer on Epitaph just to get reacquainted with the controls and got absolutely brutalised, it was horrific. I went to bed instead.
