Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry

The Humpty Dance by Digital Underground

In A Big Country by Big Country (Yes, I know they had more hits in the U.K., but they were sadly a one hit wonder here in the U.S., and its a shame what happened to their lead singer)

Too Shy by Kajagoogoo

Send Me An Angel by Real Life

Tarzan Boy by Baltimora

Melt With You by Modern English

I can probably think of a few more, but I don't wanna right now. :P

And technically, MC Hammer wasn't a one hit wonder; its just that Can't Touch This is his biggest hit, thus the song that's most remembered. He had a couple more, I think. (And quite frankly, Turn This Mutha Out > Can't Touch This) Same thing that happens with A Flock Of Seagulls; everyone remembers I Ran, but forgets all about Space Age Love Song. (Which is funny, because the video for it is the one where Mike Score had the punk Wolverine haircut that's made fun of)

Regarding Falco, its a shame that Der Komissar wasn't a hit in the U.S.; it may be in German, which I don't speak or understand, but I prefer it to After The Fire's cover, and the video was freakin' awesome.

In mainstream British culture they're one hit wonders, and Wheatus are WAY more known for "Teenage Dirtbag" and to a lesser degree their cover of Erasure's "Little Respect".

How the fuck are Van Halen, Hawkwind, Jimmy Eat World, The Sweet and Thin Lizzy one hit wonders?

To be fair...he asked for bands 'associated with one song'...and arguably Van Halen and Thin Lizzy are basically solely distinguished these days (on a 'mainstream level') by "Jump" and "The Boys Are Back In Town" respectively. I mean I LOOOVE Van Halen. But whenever I bring them up, I'm basically just met with "Oh the guys who did Jump".

JEW I really don't get, especially seeing as they've had two 'big' singles this year alone. :shifty:
