The Official Coca-Cola Leagues Thread

To be fair to Sheffield United, they don't deserve anything of the sort.

Do have to laugh that its twice that sort of thing has happened.

On a related note, I expect Simon Jordan to complain soon enough about the 'unneeded' point deduction. The guy always makes me laugh, the most arrogant son of a bitch around without doing much for the club.

Fuck off, just fuck right off. No student tickets in the Kop (except renewals, but its too late for that anyway). 650 quid to sit in the middle of the east stand? Who the fuck wants to pay 650 quid to watch shite division 3 football? Bah, this is the one thing I really can't stand about Bates, the ridiculous prices he expects us to pay for no reward.

Most expensive season ticket for 09/10 at Blackburn is £349 and we're two leagues above you. Your chairman is a cock. You probably don't need telling though.

And we have a good 10,000 morons who'll pay it... And then there's people like me who should probably pay it given the amount they spend anyway but it's the principle god damn it.

Yeah but Bradford have a fanbase of over 10,000. What about teams with average gates of 2 or 3,000? Premiership clubs can give away season tickets for next to nothing because gate receipts make up such a small percentage of their income, but to a club like, say, Darlo, reducing ticket prices isn't really an option because it's where we get most of our income, and we don't have the fanbase to do one of the reduced price schemes like Bradford or Port Vale. And then practically on our doorstep you have Sunderland offering child season tickets for £19 or something daft like that, how on earth can we compete? It'll eventually become cheaper to watch a Premiership game than a League Two one, which should say it all about how ridiculous the financial situation in English football is.

I'm dreading when we get relegated again, and the club decides to charge £50+ per shirt knowing fine well that it's now 'specialist stock', despite it costing a Thai farmer less than 12p to make them.

My cousin buys the new Leeds shirt each year religiously... partly because the quality causes it to fall apart after 4 washes :(

Your cousin's buying dodgy gear, I have the last 4 kits (including this/next season's), wear them often and they're all fine. Actually the worst quality one we've had was the Nike Whyte & Mackay shirts which were whilst we were in the PL I think.

I don't buy the shirts regularly now. I'll get them if I think they're nice, but I haven't really liked one since the light blue and black away one a couple of years (??) ago.

I apologize for complaining about Newcastle's season ticket prices. Those Leeds prices are wrong.

Ditto. My seat is the exact equivalent to those East Stand Central ones and is actually marginally cheaper, and that was as a Premiership team. Admittedly the rumour is that its not getting reduced this year, but still, Leeds?

Millwall will not face any disciplinary action from the Football Association following the pitch invasion during their clash against Leeds.

The first leg of the League One play-off semi-final between the two clubs at the Den saw a number of supporters enter the field.

The FA has been assisting the Metropolitan Police with their enquiries over the invasion that happened in the wake of Neil Harris' second-half goal.

Leeds goalkeeper Casper Ankergren claimed to have been pushed in the back, while also having missiles thrown at him during the invasion.

Two supporters were then arrested in relation to the incidents.

An FA spokesperson told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "The FA has noted that two people were apprehended by stewards and arrested and charged by police.

"No further action from the FA is to be taken."

No of course there isn't going to be, spineless cunts. What do Millwall fans have to do before they get punished? for it?
