Madden '09

I've been getting Madden for my PS2 in the past, but I think I'm going with the PC version this time. Mainly because I want the roster updates and don't use my PS2 online.

One change I wish they'd make is being able to use custom playbooks with created teams. Either that, or a hack for it. Its damn stupid when you make up an original team but have to use a real team's playbook.

I believe though, that the PC version was discontinued.

Just got my copy. Right off the bat Madden introduces you to a Madden test that adjusts your difficulty sliders to meet your skills. Rushing, Passing, run defense, pass defense. Your run drills that determine your current madden skill and if you have difficulty set to "My Skill" it'll adjust sliders based on how you've improved.

Say if you have an awesome game Passing in Franchise, would the skill level change a immediately or would you have to be continuously beat the CPU to get the change> 'Cause if it changes straight away, if you have a lucky game, your screwed next time round.

Waiting until Friday sucks BTW.

I believe it is supposed to represent your current skill.....I'm sure it'll average out a few games worth rather then change every game.

I believe both Gamespot and IGN's reviews of the game said the changing difficulty thing was inherently flawed (possibly to the point of being broken) in their reviews.

IGN gave it an 8.8 and Gamespot gave it an 8.0.

I ended up with a 529 skill level after the first drills I believe, not shabby. Did poorer on the defensive side then I would have liked.

I'm down for some games on the 360.

The only problem I've had so far is the music. Most of it is headache inducing. My fault for not sorting through the shite in there but just saying.

That and I completely destroyed the drills and I feel more comfortable playing on all pro.

Its a terrible soundtrack.

Hammerhead by Offspring is edited to the point where I don't even know why they included it. Everything else is a blast of generic punk/emo/scene stuff the kids are into these days. Turned off Underoath and MSI and turned on all the NFL films music

I just got it and found it to be just like NCAA of this year and Madden of last, I am up for some online games though, maybe a league if anyone wants to start one up.

The moment I went into XBL through the game it asked me to get the roster update. Don't get why Pennington is an FA when they already have Favre on the Jets.

The IQ Test is flawed because it is really easy to do great on the rushing offense test and horrible on the Pass defense test.

Cause Pennington didn't sign for a few days after they acquired Favre. Yeah its stupid that they cut it off there, but its really not that big of an inconvience to put Pennington on the Dolphins
