Rather excellently Spurs are seeded in the first seeds pot for the group stages of the UEFA Cup. It MUST be down to being in the competition the last couple of years. The other English clubs didn't fair so well:

As a Villa fan I am happy with the draw. Hamburg will be a tough team as Martin Jol has made a decent little side there, top of the German league so far, so I shall be weiry of them. Ajax could be tricky as well. I expect us to qualify though. Top of the table. >_>

Juande Ramos is fantastic at cup competitions so I expect him to guide Spurs through the group stages, Portsmouth have a tricky group but if Crouch and Defoe are firing like they are at the moment they will go through I hope they do as well because I have a soft spot for them. Villa will make it and they deserve to go far, great manager and exciting players. I reckon Valencia will win the entire competition.
