I'd be surprised if anywhere would accept a trade-in of a copy in the first place, but I think they've said there's some sort of website whereby you can deactivate all previous installs for your activation code (also in case of computer crashes before you can uninstall). I've no idea where it is or how you get there, but it might ask you if it detects there's already 1 or more installs used when your installing the game.

And Zaz, I think the FA Cup is sponsored by e.on, so that'll be why it's in the name.

OK, I think I overwrit the folder with the nation flags as they are just symbols, when you click a player, where the national flag is of their residence it has a coloured logo.

Could anyone point me in the right direction for a flag pack? Or could someone send me one if possible?

OK, another question, how do I uninstall it? I want to uninstall and re-install because I think I've buggered everything up. Do I need to unregister it or anything? I found the uninstall file yesterday but can't for the life of me find it again for some reason and isn't on the programs list.

I kept Luton up on the last day of the season, all three of us in my Uni house took up the challenge, two of us kept them up the other one got screwed in the second from last game of the season to an offside goal. It's a challenge that is great fun, I recommend it.

Anyone else think the player ratings seem to be a bit off for your team? I'm coming second with Spurs, yet only have 2 players in the top 100. Might be I'm only 5 games in and things will even themselves out later, but you'd think I'd have a few more in there.

The top 100 for what, though? Average rating? Value? The Player Search screen gives you results for the entire planet, so if it's something like 'value' it's understandable that you can be second in the Premiership with only a couple of the top 100 players worldwide. With good form and luck you can get a midtable club to second with hardly any valuable players.

In the Premier League average ratings. I had Zokora at about 25 and someone like Bentley in the 80s. Pavyluchenko was joint top scorer in the league and didn't even get a mention.

Nah, I can see their ratings aren't good enough, it's just that I think they should have better ratings to begin with. Maybe it was that we were winning but still playing poorly, as we've now gone 6 games without a win

Man, this is annoying. The opposition attackers always seem to just dance around my defenders as if they weren't there, allowing them plenty of easy shots in the box

The ratings system is wank. My players get fives and low sixes all the time even if we completely outplay them.

Just hit November with Spurs. 8th in the league after 11 games, but three points off of 7th place. Hopefully I can qualify for Europe and attract some of the better European players for next season, since 8th place is all well and good but it's not much fun

Here's to hoping the Big 4 dominate the cups and 7th place would be good enough to get me into the Intertoto.

Anyone else finding this version really slow? usually by now I'd be a season or two in............I've done up until October since friday, dunno whether that is a good or bad thing.

Yep, it's almost unplayable for me. FM08 might be the end of the line for me 'til my computer dies and I finally decide to get a new one.

You can still whiz through a season if you wanted to I reckon, but the game is so deep now that there's many different areas that you need to keep an eye on.

I just can't seem to win a game though! A couple of pre-season victories over teams leagues lower than me, but since the season started I've had 2 draws and 3 losses. Will play one more match tonight, then I'll move onto something else. Transfer window's closed and I only brought in one striker on loan, tried to bring in a defender multiple times but I was snubbed by all of them.

It seems like the games are really low scoring. I'm averaging 1.4 goals a game with .7 against. If I win its almost always in the end of the game.
