What the hell kind of word is 'Grampus'? :shifty:

Oh, wiki tells me it means Killer Whale. Not the best choice for a Japanese team, I'd have thought...

It's the city's patron animal or SOMETHING. There are golden ones on the castle from yeeeeaaaars ago. Well, the rebuilt castle after it got bombed.

They used to be Nagoya Grampus Eight - The kanji symbol for 8 being the city's symbol.

I really hate the celebration yellow card rule. Players should be able to tell the opposing fans to shush, to dive into their own fans, to swing their shirt around on a corner flag....Anything. ESPECIALLY in a derby match!

Y'know, I'm a fan of the old fashioned handshake and casual wander back to the half way line.....But I just went mental and it probably meant quite a bit to VdV too.

Ferreira starts ahead of Bosingwa for Chelsea, since Bosingwa played in midweek. Shouldn't be a problem since he'll be playing righ-back rather than a makeshift centre-back.

I guess we'll see how well Ramires-Mikel-Malouda works as a midfield... Knowing our recent luck, Alex will cripple himself and Ivanovic will get booked to leave him suspended for the Newcastle game.
