If Sunderland and Birmingham had been amongst our earlier fixtures, people would still have deemed it "an easy start". It's hardly as though the fixtures directly correlate with the results.

So, Rooney comes on for Macheda to a mixed reaction. Macheda was horrible (as usual), so Rooney can't really do much worse than him.

I don't think anybody would put Birmingham away as an easy fixture, they're well known for their defensive capability at home. The easy start made people think Chelsea were better than they actually are, it wasn't too much of a surprise that when they come up against tough opposition for the first time they lost.

One thing I do like about Five Live is whenever they go to Stuart Hall (covering the Bolton game). His voice is just entertainingly posh.

Bolton have always been decent, now they are playing "pretty" football as well as being physicial. Also, they are consistant unlike most teams this year.
