The FA Cup Thread 2010/2011

Wonder who we're getting in the Fourth Round.

Ipswich.

Wouldn't shock me too much. :shifty:

Slightly disappointed by another home draw. It will be the seventh year in a row that Chelsea have been at home in the 3rd round.

Still, I do have a Ipswich/Man Utd supporting friend at work. That'll provide some banter at least.

The draw in full.

FA Cup third round draw:

Burnley v Port Vale
Coventry v Crystal Palace
Bristol City v Sheffield Wednesday
Fulham v Peterborough
Doncaster v Wolves
Brighton or FC United of Manchester v Portsmouth
Huddersfield v Dover Athletic
Crawley Town or Swindon v Derby
West Ham v Barnsley
Reading v West Brom
Arsenal v Leeds
Sheffield Utd v Aston Villa
Leicester v Man City
Bolton v York
Blackburn v QPR
Swansea v Colchester
Wycombe v Hereford or Lincoln
Stevenage v Newcastle
Burton Albion v Middlesbrough
Millwall v Birmingham
Southampton v Blackpool
Watford v Hartlepool or Yeovil
Chelsea v Ipswich
Sunderland v Notts County or Bournemouth
Scunthorpe v Everton
Man Utd v Liverpool
Hull v Wigan
Stoke v Cardiff
Tottenham v Charlton or Luton
Preston v Nottingham Forest
Norwich v Droylsden or Leyton Orient
Torquay v Carlisle [/code]

Some good ties in there, no doubt as to what the tie of the round is. As Watford are my local team, I would dearly love Luton to get past Charlton so we can thoroughly humiliate them.

Everton could have problems away at Scunthorpe.

Scunthorpe's last home win was in August. Their home record this season is 1 win, 2 draws and 7 defeats. If Everton don't win that they need banning from the tournament for a few years. :P

Also, no offence to Wolves but I'm well bored by that draw. A home tie against a Premier League team who will probably beat us, but aren't big enough at all to merit it being a 'big game', and one that was in our division 2 years ago no less.

* Brown 54' (0-2)

* Chorley (pen) 77' (1-2)

* Tehoue 89' (2-2)

* M'Poku 93' (3-2)

* McGleish 97' (4-2)

* Tehoue 99' (5-2)

* Tehoue 107' (6-2)

That is far and away the biggest Extra Time raping I've ever seen.

Leeds vs. Arsenal is on ITV tomorrow, what a fantastic upset that would be...

Come on the nolongerboro! I'm still bitter about being suspended from school for being taunted about losing the replay at St James' park (only one person in the planet thought Shearer had scored that...) so hoping for vengence. Doubt it though as we're not playing too well, that said the 97/98 team were probably the worst Stevenage side I've seen so we could get lucky.

Dowd was desperate to give a penalty in the end in wasn't he? Probably softest penalty for shirt pulling you'll see, but the first might have been a pen so guess it's swings and roundabouts. Still it's funny to see the relief from the typically quiet Gooners. Think they might snatch the winner now.
