Saturday April 23, Empire Polo Club -- Indio, California

Anyone thinking about going? It was just announced today. Tickets go on sale on January 28.

If I can find cheap airfare and lodging I will be purchasing pre-sale tickets tomorrow.

Should be awesome.

If not for the fact that I simply don't have the money to go across the country for this I totally would.

This is just sad. I saw Megadeth live last summer and even though I was drunk and spazzing out, in hindsight it was really a horrible gig. Neither Metallica nor Slayer have been anywhere near good in years, so coupling them with Dave 'Tired Old Man' Mustaine just churns out a big fat meh. Can't speak for Anthrax, I was never that much into the thrash scene. Blatant money grabbing here.

Anthrax was actually pretty damn good when I saw them with Slayer and Megadeth in October. The latter two bands were also good but Anthrax stole the show.

I could do without seeing Metallica or Lars Ulrich's tighty whities again, though. If Metallica backed out and Testament took their place I'd do everything in my power to go to this.

One Time Only!

Except the others time they're doing it this year. And that time they did it last year.

I think it's 'One Time Only' for the US - just like it's 'One Time Only' in each country they are doing it :P
