I said this in the XBOX thread, but I might as well say it here as well.

I played five rounds of the BETA last night and while I enjoyed some of the minor add-ons, such as throwing yourself over obstacles and the new ability to get down on your stomach - along with the major graphical and level improvements, it really didn't feel like I was playing something all that different from the multiplayer experience found in Bad Company 2. Not that this is a bad thing of course, I was just kind of picturing more when it all came down to it.

Played two rounds last night...went 1-2 and 16-12. It was...ok? the destrucable environments were really cool, the fact it doesn't take a million shots to kill someone is good, but the camping and the sniping is horrid!

I watched Total Biscuit play some Battlefield the way it's meant to be played and it looked like a lot of fun. It's just a shame that you'd need to have a whole group of friends with time to play in a party to enjoy it that way.

In my two games the other night, I went maybe like 20-22 and then switched to sniper and went something like 15-3.

I had no interest in it before, what I played raised my interest somewhat but not enough to buy it.

I played the BETA for a little over an hour last night and this is a must have game for me. I loved BC2 and this one is far superior already. This game will be played regularly for a long time I feel.

I felt it flowed quicker than BC2 and also certainly in the subway tunnels the game is just action personafied without it becoming brainless rushing like in COD.

The guns also feel they pack a better punch now and if you place your shots you won't have to spray like a madman.

Could also be because i sucked at BC2 in every way possible and this game actually is easier for me personally...

And after two rounds of playing defender i absolutely LOVE the flashlights for one reason only... Easy target recognition.

I can sit from range with the M16 and just plink at the white lights coming through the tunnels.

I had an absolutely amazing experience actually - I headed into the Subway tunnels through the access tunnel that opens up around the imploded freeway and just saw at the end of the hallway demolishing the idiots that came down after me.

Did someone just up and decide to ruin the controls for the release? The turning and such is terrible on the PS3. It feels way to jerky, as if every turn has a specific point and there is no inbetween.

Well - reviews have pretty much confirmed for me that the single player is pretty, but rather empty and way to linear and RTE based. I also know that if I pick this up, everyone I know will eschew it for Skyrim in a few weeks anyways.. so eh.

Hearing some mixed things now that the game is out from friends, I'm going to wait for GameFly to send it my way but in all honesty I'm just sitting around waiting for Skyrim at this point.

Fitzy and myself (and likely Good Eddie and Rocksta) will be getting Modern Warfare 3....so if you want a FPS game.....

And we played Black Ops for months! So it won't completely vanish when Skyrim comes.

Certain games I have do the same. I risked it, because like you, the break down of the video card was good enough, and it worked just fine. It's normally just because they can't guarantee it works with all models.
