All that guff and his best achievement is winning the Libertadores with River?

Big whoop, everyone knows the 4-3-3 and the 4-1-2-3 variant is overpowered in FM12, you could probably win the league with Aston Villa using it... :pervert:

That being said, my FM13 project was going to be 'Gazz's Chalkboard masterclass'. Though at this rate, my FM13 project will be still FM12. :/

I think my game hates Sebastian Ribas. I have had to replay games he has bossed because of crashes. And he has not scored in the replays.

Finished 8th with Wrexham in my first season got offered the Spurs and Man Utd job so I decided to leave on a high and go United. Also took the England job after the Euros so its been quite a rise from Blue Square Prem to United and England manager.

I'm managing England, Netherlands and Ireland atm and not that fussed about waiting since I just come on here while its processing.

Got knocked out in the play-offs with Ireland. Got knocked out by Italy in the QF with Holland and just made it to the final with England by beating Italy. Spain went out in the group stage which I'm happy about, and Ukraine just beat Germany in the other semi final, so I've got the match I wanted, but then again Ukraine have already got past Croatia, Czech, France, Portugal and Germany so I might get my ass handed to me.

How would it work in real life? I'm playing this game on the basis that I'll accept job offers that I reckon my good would if the money and prestige actually meant something (hence the move to Feyenoord), but do most international managers only manage a national team or just those in charge of the bigger nations?

Pretty much all national team managers only manage nations in real life. On my FM 2009 game I managed England (twice), Brazil, Italy, Sweden and Ghana while Man City manager, all for a maximum of a year before I got bored and resigned. Now I'm so sad that I want my games to be as realistic as possible so I only manage national teams if I resign from my club position first

I think the issue in real life is that, while you would have a fair bit of spare time managing a national team, if you took on a club team the pressures of managing that side would be so great that you'd naturally end up neglecting the national team. As a national manager you'd need to keep a constant eye on your players, their club performances, any injuries, going to watch games etc, and you couldn't do that as effectively if you had a club side to concentrate for 9 months out of a year.

Before my game crashed, Andy Najar had asked to come off the transfer list, after asking to be listed.

Instead of that happening again, he asked for a contract termination. It was too expensive to pay him off so I couldn't give it.

Also I don't want him to go!

Yeah, I think I'll go the way of resigned from my club if I get offered a job.

Oh, and fuck off these late goals I'm conceding. Reckon I've given away about ten points now through late winners and equalisers in the first ten games. It is ridiculous. Also, my old side's top half run has come to a thundering halt with a 0-7 loss to Ajax. A lazy six of those from Sigþórsson.

Started an Ireland game today in the spirit of the Euros and it's quite fun.

Gone a completely different route from the real life team, playing 4-3-3 and selecting young and fresh players over the tried and tested. Anthony Pilkington, Chris McCann and Lukas Jutkiewicz are proving to be very useful. Anyway, qualified for Euro 2012 by beating Israel 6-3 on aggregate in the playoffs and then got handed Ukraine, Germany and Greece as my group.

Beat Greece 3-2, then drew 1-1 with Germany. I needed a point against Ukraine to guarantee progression but got destroyed 3-0. Luckily Germany conceded a late equaliser against Greece and crashed out on 3 points after 3 draws, sending e through along with Ukraine. Lost in extra time to eventual winners Belgium in the quarters though. They went on to play Ukraine in the final, so I lost to both finalists.

Won my first two games in the World Cup qualifiers beating Faroe Islands 3-0 and then scraping a 2-1 win over 10-man Austria at home with a injury winner from Jutkiewicz. Luckily Germany have continued being draw specialists, drawing both opening games, making it 5 in a row in competitive matches.
