My custom scenario!

So I used the latest stat update(Oct.) and the customized it a little bit. I left all the current promotion but I created three more global promotions and I added some of my favorite stars from the past. Basically started a game for each promotion with just the core rosters intact, and picked the stars that ould be a best fit for each game. :) So here is the back-story on my promotions.

I changed WWE around a bit and this is what you get,

Vince McMahon was all set to purchase the failing WCW, when out of no where he was indicted by the grand jury for steriod distrubution. To save his company, VKM signed the rights to WWE over to Stephanie McMahon without a second thought. Feeling slighted and and at odds with his entire family for not even being considered, Shane McMahon soon left to persue other interests. On his way out Shane sold his share of WWE stock but retained the ownership rights of some PPV names that had been put in his name to avoid some taxes.

To pay the mounting legal bills and make up for the huge losses the company suffered at the hands of the XFL, Stephanie and HHH made a decision that would come to shake wrestling to the very core. They put the right to WWF on the market, know that no one could ever go global with that name, they thought it a safe bet. In steps Ted Turner. The former tycoon who owned WCW saw the potential that re-opening the WWF could have on his checkbook. After paying a hefty sum, he was sole owner of the World Wrestling Federation.

WCW offered alot of things to play with. Here it is.

One of the worst kept secrets in wrestling was about to become the greatest kept secret in an era where kayfabe was near it's death. Everyone knew WCW was going bankrupt and that Starrcade was going to be the final show of the once great promotion. With several bids on the table, Vince McMahon was just barely ahead of the pack with Eric Bischoff and partners a close second. Suddenly 24 hours before Starrcade, and just six hours before VKM was to purchase WCW, the grand jury indicted Vince which put an instant halt to all his dealings. Bischoff jumped at this chance, and began talks instantly for the company, but his partners, now knowing WWE was not going to buy it, pulled out, severing all ties with Bischoff. Left in a tight spot, and with just hours before the company was to close down shop, Bischoff went to a once hated enemy, who just happened to win a huge sum of money from a lottery weeks before.

Enter Paul Heyman. loving the idea of running the number one promotion in the world, he would payback his debts and bring some friends with him. But on his first night, the night when Starrcade will start as a final show and is really just the beginning of a new era, he wanted to truly shake the world up. So he made a call to an old friend in the WWE. Having known this person was working without a signed contract while details were being worked out, he made an offer that couldn't be refused. The Undertaker would make his WCW debut that very night, A night where HHH and all his power was going to force Undertaker into his very first Mania loss. A loss made even worse due to the fact it was to be to a power hungry Triple H. Instead "The Deadman" would rest this evening as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion shaking wrestling to the very core!!!

Ted Turner is going to shake the world of wrestling with his purchase of WWF.

When HHH and Stephanie McMahon sold the rights to the WWF name, they never could have known that old Teddie Boy has also just purchased the World Wildlife Fund. He now owned the complete world right to the WWF and he was going to go global again!! This time he had a little fire power behind him. Hulk Hogan, still claiming to have created WWF all by himself, sank all his money leftover from the divorce into Turner's WWF making him a minority owner. Then Shane McMahon, seeing a chance to gain a bit of revenge on his family, also signed on. Buying a large share and bringing his WWF names with him, Shane-O-Mac was ready for the big time!!! Operation bankrupt WWE was under way!

The hottest new thing in wresting......NWA: TNA-ROH!!!!

While the wrestling world's eyes were on WWE, WCW, and WWF there were some big time dealing going on behind closed doors. When the Jarrett family was ready to sell TNA Wrestling, Panda Energy thought about the deal but turned it down. Seeing an oppertunity to make it to the top one more time, Ric Flair stepped in and bought the company, instantly winning his 17th World Title!! ROH had also fallen hard times and lucked out when Ricky Steamboat bought a large share and started taking the company in the right direction. NWA was all but dead.

Watching the news of the new global companies, Flair made a call to his good friend Steamboat. Discussing how they could no longer compete, at least in a wrestling world of global companies, they decided to co run shows, creating TNA-ROH. After two months, with the shows not being successful despite heavy promotion, it looked like the end was still closing in on both TNA and ROH. That's when Shane Douglas, unhappy with the products being offered to the world, decided it was time to make a comeback in a major way.

No one knows where he got the money, and I don't think anyone really cares. But in one night, Shane Douglas would shock the world one more time. With one word, Douglas transfered the 3million dollars to purchase the complete ownership rights of National Wrestling Alliance. A few hours later, he was in talks with Steamboat and Flair. The deal was done. Flair and Steamboat would remain on but sell to Douglas. NWA; TNA-ROH was born. Claiming to be the new alternative to modern pro wrestling, Douglas vowed to restore the championship he once tossed aside to number one in the world! Steamboat as champion may very well see that dream come true.

I don't think its stupid. I think its an interesting idea. I like the backstory, but its a bit confusing. If it was to take place with these stats, then WWE would already own WCW. Plus not to sound mean, but NWA sold for 3 million dollars? C'mon.

Like I said its interesting, but I would never play it since, a) I don't like using deceased wrestlers in scenarios unless they were still alive (i.e. I use Pillman in my 1991 scenario), and b) is everyone in their prime or what? I mean you mention that Flair wins his 17th title and Steamboat is the champ but you also say "Discussing how they could no longer compete, at least in a wrestling world of global companies, they decided to co run shows". So whats up with that.

Again, not tc because I do like different ideas and scenarios but I would pass on this one.

Also why does NWA: TNA-ROH have PWG PPV names? Also how does WCW NOT use the Superbrawl name for a PPV?

Someone has to say it.

......What the fuck?

Seriously, what the fuck?

Vince goes to jail...the company is usurped....The XFL fails. And yet, somehow, WCW survives, TNA exists (I'm sorry, ROH-TNA), and here's what I love:

Owen Hart

Andre the Giant

Yokozuna

Brian Pillman

THESE PEOPLE ARE *DEAD*! Andre died in 1993!

Dead people being on the roster is part of what makes this a fantasy senerio. Flair/Steamboat didn't say they couldn't wrestle in the modern era, just that their companies could not compete as cult companies in a world of global companies, hence the merger!!! G.A.Y., which is Billy and Chuck stands for Gorgeious And Young. And as far as Edge and Christan's tag name goes, I hate teams with no name.
