And yeah, the Horns need to rid themselves of Mack Brown. Instead of making Muschamp the coach-in-waiting, they should have just made him head ball coach. We'd be better off if that actually happened.

Beating Bama was Manziel's signature victory. If it went the other way, I believe that Te'o would have won the Heisman.

It probably would have. And if Baylor didn't beat K-State then the Heisman would have been Klein's. Hell, if USC could play defense and pulled off a couple more wins Marquise Lee would have been a favorite. If Ohio State was postseason eligible then you might have seen Braxton Miller become a favorite. Circumstance is a big factor in anything.

Gained some respect for Petrino this morning. On Mike/Mike he was asked if the whole issue with him might have something to do with the empowerment that exists in college football and the "untouchable" aura of players/coaches that the media and society has create. Without hesitation he flat out said "no" and that it was him making a horrid decision and choosing to do the wrong thing. He did it and it had nothing to do with anything else.

He "manned up" ... good for him.

Also, I'm sorry but some schools just need to face facts: Football runs things but the Big East basketball schools think their britches are bigger than they are. I get that some of those schools coming to the conference are "down" in terms of basketball but the Georgetown/Villinova's need to understand that their lack of football is a rather big reason that the Big East is dissolving a slow acid bath death.

And uh, UT ... Longhorns ... pay attention because this is going to be happening for a while now: Ricky Seals Jones is going to A&M ... and you did it to yourselves.

As for the thing with the basketball schools in the Big East that HttK brought up, if they leave its good riddance. Those schools need to realize that basketball is a sport in this country, but football is a religion. Most people don't give a shit about college football until the NCAA Tournament rolls around.
