Hey. Hey. I'll have you know it's very nearly time Toronto to suddenly start playing well entirely too late to secure a playoff spot!

Or maybe just to play inexplicably well in the Champions League, which would have meant a lot more if they weren't in a group with Santos Laguna.

Arsenal striker Benik Afobe is set to join Bolton Wanderers on loan, BBC Radio Manchester reports. They have signed Keith Andrews, Matt Mills, Joe McKee and Andy Lonergan so far this summer, as they prepare for their return to the Championship.

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has admitted out-of-favour trio Lee Barnard, Ryan Dickson and Jonathan Forte are set to leave the club.

Wolves will listen to offers for Christophe Berra after the defender told the club he wants a new challenge. The 27-year-old centre-back, capped 20 times by Scotland, has one year remaining on his contract at Molineux.

Aquilani go bye bye.

Fiorentina have signed him says his agent.

Liverpool officially announce it:

Liverpool Football Club can today confirm that Alberto Aquilani has completed a permanent transfer to Serie A side Fiorentina.

The Italian midfielder joined Liverpool in 2009 but made just 28 first-team appearances having spent the last two seasons on loan in his homeland.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Alberto all the best for the future.

Shame. Obviously a classy player in there somewhere but it was never gonna work out for him. Will probably be remembered as Rafa's biggest flop but it's more complicated than that.

He was probably worth getting rid of with his injuries and wages.

I wish things had worked out better. Buy hopefully this clears the way for Dempsey and Allen to finally come in at least.

Joey Barton is set to sign a 6 month loan deal with Fleetwood town.

BBC Radio Lancashire understands the League Two club will finalise move over the weekend, which would give the QPR midfielder a much faster route to work through his twelve match ban.

Barton, who was sent off on the final day of last season at Manchester City and was later found guilty of two counts of violent conduct by the Football Association, was also fined six weeks' wages by his club and stripped of the club captaincy.

The one-time England international was given permission to play 45 minutes of the 4-0 win against Kilmarnock on Tuesday and Fleetwood are also now hoping the player will be able to take part in tomorrow's friendly at home to Tranmere.

Barton is now expected to sign on loan for Fleetwood Town on Monday.

I've heard anything from £4m to £7m with 7 and 5.5 being the most prominent. We may also be supplementing his wages for a while too. I think the best part is getting him off the wage bill though.

Well, you mean partially off the wage bill.
