I would sell Agger if they're going to get 20 or 25 million for him. Yes, he is quality, but you can't usually get a full season out of him. If it means getting Kolo Toure in on an exchange, or grabbing Kjaer since he's on the outs at Wolfsburg, I'd do it.

I'm more interested about how Rodgers is going to play his front three. When I saw them play in Baltimore, he had Fabio Borini play out on the left. Now, assuming Carroll doesn't start - because it won't happen often under Rodgers - I want to know if he will keep Borini out wide and play Suarez through the middle, or have Suarez end up out wide and try Borini as the central striker. Not having Suarez for much of the pre-season is going to really hurt Liverpool in the first few months of the season, me thinks, as he's going to be a big question mark for Rodgers and his tactics.

Wouldn't it make sense to avoid someone like Toure? I mean, the ACON is this year and would you really want to see Carragher and Coates playing side by side for four weeks?

This might be the reason why City would like a good centre back that will be available over the winter period... but I'm not sure if they'd get rid of Toure fully. Agger for money and Toure loan?
