The latest (and obviously not all that reliable) media reports out of Italy are that Chelsea are set to agree a 58m euro deal for Cavani.

What amuses me about this is the significance of 58m euros (marginally below the 63m release clause). It equates to roughly £49.4m...AKA intentionally dipped below our Torres transfer record.

Darryl Murphy has signed a two year contract with Ipswich, hardly surprising since he has spent the last two seasons or so here on loan. Murphy joins David McGoldrick, Jay Tabb and Cole Skuse from Bristol City who have already signed their deals, all free transfers.

Looking promising and coming together for McCarthy, Jermaine Pennant and Jerome Thomas, along with Matt Kilgallon all holding talks currently too. Can't see the Pennant thing being true!
