When you consider that their existing transfer record is a piddling £15m (Arshavin), it says a lot.

Hamburg's Heung-Min Son joined Bayern Leverkusen.

One of Borussia's promising young players, Leonardo Bittencourt has joined Hannover.

And also in Spain, former Swansea target Leo Baptistão has joined Atlético Madrid.

Older news, as Werder Bremen's Sokratis Papasthatopoulos joined Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile Felipe Santana signed with rivals Schalke 04.

Any of you Villa fans worried that you might struggle at the start of the season? You guys seem to be signing a few players, but none of them have Premier League experience and could, in theory, struggle to settle in straight away.
