Probably for the best. One of my favourite players ever. I wonder what's next for him? He obviously loves the game so I'd be surprised to see him just disappear. Would love to see him become a great manager.

That's surprising considering PSG have stated they'd use him in a playing capacity next season if he wanted to play.

Still, one of my favourite ever players. When we were younger I always picked Beckham for 'fixed player' World Cups on PES. Some people will probably use the opportunity to revel in "how overrated" he was, but for me he was a world class midfielder for a good few years. That free kick and that game against Greece summarises his career best really. Englands highest profile, most successful player of his generation, pretty much single handedly dragging his country to a major tournament. His club career isnt half bad reading either.

Lets hope he's made enough to retire fairly comfortably >_>

Beckham's a really nice guy (even if he did abandon Robbie Keane in the MLS ) who has had a great career and has done a good amount of charity work. Not many players can say they've played for the likes of Man.utd, PSG, AC Milan and Madrid and won trophies.

Hopefully he'll still be involved in football in some capacity.

I don't mean this disrespectfully but I really don't think he's got enough about him to be a manager. Definitely a coach though, if he can make it through his badges
