Legend of DragoonLancer is pretty great. I never finished it because it gets super-difficult, and there's basically zero chance I'll ever pick it up again because I am an ancient creature with little patient for most grindfest RPGs, but I remember enjoying it.

Legend of Dragoon is much better off in your memory as "that RPG that looks kinda like FF7" than it is for playing through again. The story is kind of non-existant, which you'd think in the whacky world of JRPG's wouldn't be so bad, but surprisingly it gets incredibly dull and tedious midway through. It has that problem where they try to make each character different and it results in only like, 3 of them ever being useful.

I was playing through it again right before I got into DCUO. It's still good but it does drag in parts especially if you lose to a boss and have to go through alot of dialog over and over.

My big problem is how little the plot progresses. It goes at a snails pace for most of the game, which is a shame. I was quite interested in the fairly cliche BLACK MONSTER bits, but it took so long to get to them that I stopped caring all that much. It's got a solid battle system, though the press X at the right time system ends up feeling a bit pointless the further you get through the game.
