Anyone Watch Cooking Shows?

Masterchef is serious? I think it's far from it. Well, maybe the British one is (I think it's fucking boring) but the American one is so ridiculous you just can't stop watching. It's seriously stupid, but that's part of the fun.

It's even more fun when it's kids on MasterChef Junior. That is the only one I really watch though. Hell, one of the only reality shows in general I'll watch.

I used to watch Good Eats every day, but I haven't done that in a while. Here lately I've been watching a lot of Chopped. The teen tournament's been pretty interesting, and it makes me feel like the worst person ever that I'm twice the age of some of the kids on there and yet they can cook delicious appetizers using Lunchables, chicken breast, salsa verde and tortilla chips. Meanwhile, the best I can think to do is "erm, melt some cheese on these tortilla chips. Voila. Nacho."

Anything with Ramsay is good the first time you watch half a season, then, it's always pretty much the same:

"Something that has never happened before on (Masterchef/Hell's Kitchen)!"

"The person going home is **COMMERICIAL BREAK**"

"This is the worst (food/kitchen related noun) I have ever seen!" (Every Kitchen Nightmare episode)

Yeah, Ramsay does get pretty reptitive. What I like Kitchen Nightmares more than his other shows is you get a look at a new restaurant each week, which can be wildly different from the one before. It takes some of the focus off Ramsay. Although it usually does boil down into Ramsay shouting a bunch of f bombs.
