The January 2015 Transfer Window thread

Rumour is that on Monday 5th January, Chelsea could complete the signing of 23 year old Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric from HNK Rijeka for a fee in the region of £7.5 million...and then, *obviously* immediately loan him out to someone. He might even be loaned out to Leicester City.

The Daily Mail claims Kramaric, who has scored 55 goals in 65 appearances since he joined Rijeka 16 months ago, will sign a four and a half year deal on approximately £20,000 per week.

So chalk him up as another "may never play for Chelsea but we should get a decent profit later (e.g. De Bruyne/Lukaku)". :shifty:

In more ludicrous news, the Metro says we want to buy Sergio Busquets. lol.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce expects Mauro Zarate to move to QPR on loan in the January transfer window. Allardyce added that the player was undergoing a medical on Tuesday. The 27-year-old Argentina striker has scored twice in eight appearances for the Hammers since joining from Velez Sarsfield last summer. Zarate was quoted in the national press as saying that Allardyce refused to play him because he was signed by Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan.

Valencia have confirmed that they have signed midfielder Enzo Perez from Benfica, subject to a medical, for a fee believed to be around €25m. The Argentine international was thought to be a target for Manchester United but has now signed a a four-and-a-half-year deal at the Mestalla.

Swansea City are reportedly on the verge of completing a £1.75 million deal for highly-rated Exeter City midfielder Matt Grimes. The 19-year-old has been linked with a number of Premier League sides after impressing with the Grecians and being named their player of the season last year. It looks as though the Swans have won the race for his signature, with the South Wales Evening Post reporting a deal is close to being finalised.
