  1. Hey Benji, I can get you Koffing, Slakoth, Baltoy, Turtwig, Piplup, Tepig, Oshawott and Bouffalant when I get home in a couple of hours. I'm really only looking for the event legendaries to fill up the Pokedex if you have any, which I'd trade back after. Sousa I have a Darumaka too. My Friend Code is 4742-6408-4241
  2. I saw Jack White at Brixton Academy too and really enjoyed it. That was my first time seeing him live and going to Brixton Academy, so I was willing to overlook the sound being a little off and the setlist missing some of my favourites of his. I'd really like to see him with the female band too, hopefully a full UK tour is a possibility. Unfortunately the setlist for last night at Hammersmith Apollo looked a lot better, really disappointed I missed out on tickets for that. I managed to get a few photos too, initially I was told to stop when I took one of First Aid Kit, but it became too busy for the staff to bother. I'm sure they were more concerned with people smoking inside too. Here's one of the photos I got, spoilered for size.
  3. Me and some friends have already agreed to go regardless of the line-up. I think there's about eight of us going, so I'm sure I'll have a good time even if there aren't many bands I'd like to see. Kasabian, Foo Fighters and Green Day are the strongest main stage headliner rumours I've heard/ read. I've also seen The Black Keys, Two Door Cinema Club, The Maccabees and Foster the People mentioned as strong possibilities. I'd really like to see the Cure and At the Drive- In somewhere on the bill. I'd imagine the Cure would probably headline the main stage so it's really unlikely, but I could see ATD-I headlining the NME stage, so hopefully that's more likely. I've already seen the Black Keys this year, and will be seeing Noel Gallaher and the Stone Roses before Leeds. I'd really like to see the Black Keys again, but given the money I've spent on the other two tickets I'd be disappointed to see them announced.
  4. Sorry to bump the topic, but I was wondering if anyone on here has been to the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh for a gig before? I'm thinking of going in February to see the Black Keys and was wondering what it's like.
  5. I was really close to putting Lauryn Hill as my #10, but I couldn't justify it after leaving out Snoop, Talib, Common, KRS- One and then have to cut Method Man too. The list came out pretty decent, I would have guessed Kanye, Jay Z or Eminem to win it anyway, so although I don't agree with it as such I understand. I'm really glad Black Thought made the list at any number though; whenever I talk to anyone I know about hip hop the Roots is always the group I get the most blank faces on. Admittedly the interest in hip hop in the North East of England isn't sky high, but people should really know who the Roots are.
  6. 1. Andre 3000 2. Black Thought 3. Notorious B.I.G 4. Nas 5. Big Boi 6. Busta Rhymes 7. Guru 8. Dr. Dre 9. Mos Def 10. Method Man
  7. Only 6m for Enrique? We paid that for him, surely with the kind of money Liverpool are throwing about we could get more too. I remember Pardew saying in an interview that the Carrol money has gone back into the club, having been used to pay wages and agent fees etc.
  8. I can't remember the name of the site, but I got an England shirt from somewhere similar out of curiosity. Everything cost the same as it does on that site so if it wasn't the same site they were probably linked. I didn't have any problems with ordering it. The shirt was quite good, if a bit smaller fitting than the official ones. The only way I could really tell the difference was if the shirt was inside out. I'd like the new AC Milan home shirt, so I might consider getting it from there at some point.
  9. How about League and FA Cup winners vs. Rest of the League? League and FA Cup winners have 9 players each while the Rest of the League team is made up of a player from each club?

  11. A bad picture of Newcastle's yet unconfirmed officially away shirt.
  12. Did we lose interest in a challenge of some sort? I don't have much to do for about 2 months so I'd like to start something interesting on FM.
  13. I'd be up for some sort of challenge, as the Europa League has once again killed my interest in my Forest game. How about a journeyman game where we all start at the same team and see where we end up? We could add rules like having to accept any job offer you get, not being able to move to a team in the same league as your current one etc.
  14. Demba Ba to Newcastle in the next 24 hours, according to BBC. Haven't really took much notice of him in all honesty, so I'm not sure how good he is. But hey, he's 26 and he's on a free (I think?), so it's another player we can turn around for a profit.
  15. You'd think if Newcastle had given indication they were willing to sell Nolan then someone in the Premiership would go for him. It seems such a waste for him to drop down to the Championship after proving he's still more than capable last season. Good luck to him though, after a horrible start to his Newcastle career he turned it around and was one of our most important players the last two seasons.
  16. Ended up winning the FA Cup! A pretty cagey game with Everton, 2-0 was probably a bit flattering. Rob Earnshaw got the first goal in his last game at the club. I got a few deals done quickly in the summer, which is a first. I don't think I need a lot more than that this summer, but I'm considering trying for another central midfielder since I used 4-5-1 against most of the big teams last season. Gary Cahill from a relegated Bolton for £6 Million Jordan Henderson from Sunderland for £7.5 Million Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea for free (out of contract). I was amazed at Sturridges wage demands; he only asked for 29 grand a week when he had been earning 60 at Chelsea. I managed to negotiate him down to 28, too. Here's my team going into my third year in the Premiership. GK: Scott Carson, Lee Camp RB: Chris Gunter, Brendan Moloney LB: Leighton Baines, Patrick Van Aanholt CB: Gary Cahill, Michael Turner, Craig Cathcart, Chris Basham RM: Jordan Henderson, Chris Eagles, Paul Anderson LM: Royston Drenthe, Thorgan Hazard DM: Lucas Biglia, Josh McEachran CM: Chris Cohen, Levan Keina ST: Kevin Gamiero, Steven Fletcher, Daniel Sturridge, Sloan Privat
  17. So I've wrapped up 5th in the league, 2 places higher than last year so I'm happy with it. I've just lost away to Tottenham but doing so means they've won the league, barring a terrible performance in their last game. That win meant they beat Arsenal to the position, so I was happy to help out. In worse news, Michael Turner and Kevin Gamiero are out of the FA Cup final
  18. Opposition managers always comment saying I'm "out of my depth" and they find it difficult to get on with me, even when I beat them. I've also won the Carling Cup and am 6th after 30 games this season. Getting tired of all these haters.
  19. There's about 8 clubs sniffing around Lucas Biglia now. I tried to offer him a new contract with the £13.5 million minimum fee release clause removed, but ultimately I couldn't. I've had to settle for a £20 million one instead. I'd prefer not to lose him but for 20 million I wouldn't be heartbroken. I'll replace him with Steven Defour if I have to, I can get him for about £4 Million.
  20. Do any of the other striker roles particularly compliment an Advanced Forward? Kevin Gamiero is the advanced forward in question. He's been my best player in that role for the last season, but his strike partner always underperforms. Jo was absolutely terrible last season and Steven Fletcher isn't doing well either. I'm considering a switch to 4-5-1 and letting Gamiero get on with it.
  21. Finished 7th after my form picked up dramatically after January. I was 10 points off 6th but 7 clear of 8th, so I pretty much knew where I was going to finish for a while. Gamiero ended the season as league top scorer with 27. I didn't retain either of my loan signings (Kranjcar because he wasn't interested, Jo because he was horrible for me). I replaced the two with Steven Fletcher from Wolves for 6 Million and Royston Drenthe on a free from Real Madrid. I brought in Leighton Baines for 6.5 Million and Michael Turner for 5.8, so I'm now really happy with my defence. I've only gotten rid of two players, Findley to Chievo for 1.9 Million and Joel Lynch was released, so the squad isn't really in bad shape. I've had to fend off a lot of offers for Biglia, Gunter, McEachran and Van Aanholt, but none of them were upset with me doing so. I have to admit I was surprised that Biglia wasn't bothered that the opportunity to play for Juventus had passed him by. I've got deals on the table for Sloan Privat from Sochaux and Levan Kenia from Schalke. If I sign them that'll be the end of my summer dealings.
  22. I'm doing alright in the first season of Premier League football with this Forest team. In the summer I bought young players in the hopes that I'd have a solid foundation of players improving every year and my transfer budgets could be used on bringing in 'luxury' type players. I doubt it'll work out. I suffered my worst defeat ever yesterday, 5-0 to Arsenal and sunk down to 15th, but since then I've had 3-0 wins over both Birmingham and Fulham and a 2-2 draw with West Ham, taking me back up to 10th 17 games in. I lost my league cup game against Sunderland kind of on purpose to avoid fixture pile- up. I plan on doing the same with the FA Cup. I'm not going to win either competition this year, so I want to concentrate on the league. Here's the team: GK: Carson, Camp RB: Gunter, Moloney LB: Yamissi, Van Aanholt CB: Sigurdsson, Cathcart, Morgan, Basham RM: Eagles, Anderson LM: Kranjcar (loan), T. Hazard, Ferguson DM: Biglia, McEachran CM: Cohen, McGugan ST: Jo (loan), Gamiero, Findley, Earnshaw, Soukouna
  23. I bought Thorgan Hazard for my Forest team. He's my second choice Left Winger behind (on loan) Kranjcar, but he constantly performs better than him when I bring him on. He should be great in that team.
  24. Berbatov to Newcastle would be a fantastic bit of business, but if that 7.5 Million price tag is accurate then surely a team with European football would go in for him? I wouldn't be shocked to see him back at Tottenham for that price.
