There's one for hard and one for nightmare.

I'm a Lv 34 dwarf warrior and have 110 in strength and a bunch of armour/weapons that increase dodging. Even when stuff hits me it hurts for 20 at absolute most extreme (though this is on casual), so I'm assuming there's some kind of special move Harvester does that must make it that much harder?

I've read up on it and am going to go in with a load of traps, bombs and greater nature salves just in case as they're apparently useful.

Hopefully my usual tactic of "hit it til it dies" works and I won't even have to bother :shifty:

I mean aside from any 'proper' strategy, or getting lucky like I did then a viable method would certainly be to just ignore the rest of your party and 'hit it until it dies' whilst healing yourself.

The dodging stuff may help since the only real issue with what I just said is getting mobbed by the spawners and taking damage faster than you can heal.

WWE 2K16
Platinum Progress: 47 of 55

Picked up four more trophies (mainly online ones) in the past couple of days. I am sodding determined to platinum this son of a bitch, even if the final My Career grinding takes me weeks.

The pleasing news is that leveling up the Online ranks is easy enough, although it will probably take me a long time to get from Lv16, where I am now, to Lv37 for the 'WWE Live Star' trophy. Some players I meet are Lv108 or something ridiculous - honestly guys, play a different game once in a while!

Trophies

Main Game: 38/46

Extended Version: 5/8

Of the 8 I need to do fore the main game, two of them are the hard/crushing difficulty ones so I'll get them at the same time. Hoping I'll cheese my way through crushing with a series of exploits and abusing the weapon select. Also need to 50 stealth kills which will be a grind but is easy, killing 10 enemies in a row with a single punch after they are damaged by gunfire (this is awkward as fuck and I'm struggling, any tips @Benji?). Then there's just the three speed run related trophies, which I don't think will be an issue since I know the game and the levels ridiculously well by now.

As for the additional ones, the 3 remaining are 'beat the game of brutal' 'do a continuous speed run as donut Drake' and 'do a speedrun of the entire game in less than 2 hours, 30 mins.' These are not things I really want to do so I'll probably end up leaving them since as far as I am aware I don't need these to unlock the Platinum.

Trying to figure out what I need for Dragon Age 2 and realising that its companions are kind of shit.

Isabella and Varric are great, but both rogues, and there's no point having two rogues, then there's Sebastien (also a rogue) who is probably the least interesting companion in the series besides Aveline (a warrior).

The only three mages (one of whom doesn't even join the party based on your own class) are all anti-templar, making having an anti-mage game (which I need to do) a ball ache if you want to have friendship with your companions, and only really Anders is interesting, and the only spirit healer of them a) might not join your team at all and b) if they do it is very late game.

Then there's Fenris, one of the two warriors in the game (and the only one worth having because lol, Aveline), who is probably the most interestingly complex companion in the game, but is also a ball ache to keep happy if you're anything but super serious, which is the most boring way to play the game.

I'm basically going to have to play the game choosing which companions come with me depending on the quest, which I dislike doing because I like to find a chemistry that works and stick with it. Mercifully, I don't have to keep Aveline happy, so she's totally out unless it's a mission where I need to side with the mages and Fenris can't come along... even then I think I might just go without a warrior for that mission <_<

So I feel like I've been playing Assassin's Creed: Black Flag forever and yet, I'm only 26% through it. I really don't enjoy the gameplay since I hate ship fighting all that so I feel like I should just quit and pick up something that I might enjoy much better, but then I'd feel like a quitter since I've already been playing it so long. I've got a 3 day weekend coming up, and then in a couple weeks I've got a 4 day weekend so I might just give it those two weekends and if I don't manage to get interested in it more than I currently am, I'll switch over to something better and come back to that later.

Spoiler

Decided not to play something else and instead jump right in.

Achieved three trophies last night, one I used my original save for - "Supplier" - as doing that was easier than trying to keep track of it on this save, and also removed my need to keep anyone happy (though I'll still have to either friend or rival Sebastien as that is one of the trophies I missed), so basically my squad make up can be whatever I want it to be.

Also achieved "Mass Exodus" as I couldn't decide between Mage or Rogue to play anyway, so testing them both out earned me that one. Went with rogue in the end and trying to play archer as playing melee is of no interest to me unless I'm tanking. Being a rogue also played into getting "Nefarious" for joining the Smugglers in my mind.

Did my first run through Kirkwall in the day time, will be doing a night run tonight as well as probably recruiting all the companions. Currently have Varric (awesome, but useless as I am a rogue already), Aveline (urgh) and Bethany (useful but a dull character). Think my key make up will be Fenris, Bethany (when available, Merill when not) and Anders for that classic Warrior, Rogue, Black Mage, White Mage set up.

Thanks for the video @Benji it helped massively. I'd watched a video on how to do it prior to that and it suggested doing it on the boat at the start of the game but the streak kept being broke by the stupid combo tutorial. Anyways I managed to do all the speedrun stuff really easily so that just leaves the Crushing run to do (which will also get me the hard and the platinum). Crushing isn't that bad, it just requires a lot of patience. After getting all the other stuff and playing each level plenty of times, I'm really familiar with the whole game by now, so thats helpful.

I just calculated how many more hours I'd have to sink into WWE 2K16's Career mode to get enough VC to unlock its last two trophies. The answer is...at least 14.

If only it were possible to unlearn this information. -_____-

Not any further on trophies, but reached the end of Act 1 but for the actual final quest, which means I should finish this over the Easter break and will move on to Inquisition NIGHTMARE RUN~ :D Choosing some of the Templar options for the trophy makes me feel like such a dick though :(

Current party is Rikku Hawke (myself, Rogue Archer), Bethany (white mage, secondary black mage), Anders (lead black mage, emergency white mage) and... eurgh.. Aveline. I had to go Aveline over Fenris because I forgot DA2 is shit and doesn't allow your companions to choose between two handed or sword and shield <_<

Looking at a party for DAI on Nightmare and I'm torn between being sensible and playing as an elf with the apparently OP Knight-Enchanter specialisation with Solas, Sera and Cassandra, OR...

Being a boring tank just to I can have Team Elf Saves The World with Cole, Solas and Sera, because I love the idea that the world is saved by one of the the most oppressed and ignored groups in all of Thedas.

EDIT : TIL, Cole is human, not an elf. Stupid weirdo ruining my plans :(
