  1. I hadn't heard this one before. This might be my favourite one I've heard so far. The lyrics thing still applies of course. >_> EDIT: Actually 21 guns is still my favourite. East Jesus Nowhere drags on a bit.
  2. I went to a Sunderland game last month because someone I knew was going despite none of us previously displaying any affection for them. When I was there I bought a Sunderland scarf. That is why I hate Newcastle.
  3. It sounds like a ceilidh.. >_> I don't like first bit but the last three minutes of this one are quite good. Know Your Enemy is just annoying. Restless Heart Syndrome sounds like a rejected Paul McCartney song. 21 Guns sounds like a rejected John Lennon song. I quite like this one actually. American Eulogy is the song here that's most like Green Day of old I'd say. Try as I might, I don't like it. Before The Lobotomy is alright I suppose but probably overlong if anything. Slow bit doesn't work for me at all. All in all it is nowhere near as bad as I was expecting given that I listened to it half asleep so I don't hear the lyrics. Certainly better than American Idiot. Might give it a listen if I know someone that picks it up. Thing is Green Day are more often than not solid and catchy musically. It's more the lyrics that I hate, particularly since they've started taking themselves seriously. Oh and American Idiot was shit musically and lyrically. Except Extraordinary Girl and Are We The Waiting. I like them. Still shit lyrically.
  4. I want to keep playing this but I don't know whether to continue with my Chelsea game or go back to my Hyde Utd game where I'm fighting for promotion to league 2. Any ideas?
  5. Alan Shearer should play himself for Newcastle. He's got to be better than what they have right now. >_>
  6. Right so here's my "chart". Top ten songs of the here and now basically. 1. Koko Von Napoo - Agence Blady 2. Koko Von Napoo - Polly 3. Bob Dylan - I Feel A Change Comin' On 5. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Zero 9. Alasdair Roberts - The Flyting Of Grief & Joy (Eternal Return) 10. Golden Silvers - Please Venus There's a fair whack of good stuff knocking about right now.
  7. I have so many strikers injured at the moment. At one point it was so bad that my starting lineup for the Champions League quarter-final featured a 17 year old player making his senior debut. So got knocked out the Champions League quarter-final by Arsenal. Three days later got knocked out FA Cup semi-final by Arsenal. I'm one point behind Man Utd so I'm still in a shout for the league but my team are playing terribly right now. I'm going to take a brief hiatus from this game and start a journeyman game. I will load every league. Regardless of how long it takes. Fun fun fun.
  8. Are they easy to set up? I'd quite like to do one when I get back to uni in a couple of days. I've never tried it before.
  9. Oh and perhaps not exactly the same but I have really been liking Metric's new album "Fantasies" recently.
  10. Rise Against perhaps? Every album of theirs up to and including the Suffere and the Witness is good. Try both Billy Talent albums. I should be able to think of others but I can't. :/ Oh and for pop-rock with female vocals...eh...try Blood Red Shoes. I'll think of more later.
  11. Had a bizarrely brilliant January 2011 transfer window just there. Through offers to clubs, I sold some players I never really used. Ashley Young went to Valencia for £20 million - a £9 million profit. John Obi Mikel - Valencia £12 milliom Pavel Pogrebnyak - Real Betis £15 million. I bought him for £6.25 million Ben Foster - Hoffenheim £3 million. I bought him for £1 million Ben Sahar - Hull £5 million David Beckham - Hull for free. Greatly eases the wage bill. Michael Owen - Liverpool. Only £1.5 million but again good for the wage bill. Then I heard some news that Robinho was unhappy at Man City and wanted to move to a bigger club. I offered £12 million (his value) which was accepted by Mark Hughes due to my friendship with him. Managed to beat off competition from Barcelona to sign him. Bought this guy Blaise Matuldi from Villarreal for £8 million. He's basically John Obi Mikel but a bit better. So basically I kept the same player but better and made a £4 million profit for it. The most bizarre transfer here. Vedran Corluka was unhappy at Tottenham and refused to accept any new contract offer. His contract ran out in the summer, but nobody knew/cared so he actually hung around at Tottenham until January until I found out by chance when looking for a good right back. As soon as I offered for him Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid decided they'd bid for him too. Luckily he chose to go to me. I was quite happy with my team by this point. Unfortunately my first choice left winger Yury Zhirkov, who had previously been almost ever-present for the previous two and a half seasons picked up a serious injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season. Having sold Ashley Young I had no readymade replacement so I took the fair amount of money I had to the transfer market. I came across a young lad by the name of Lionel Messi who looked pretty decent. He had a minimum fee release clause for £35 million which, while rather a lot, was well worth it for him. And with that, Lionel Messi became my final signing of the transfer window. Not counting the usual influx of promising youngsters of course. My team is now something like this: First XI Petr Cech Ashley Cole Ricardo Carvalho John Terry Vedran Corluka Lionel Messi Michael Essien Frank Lampard Darijo Srna Mario Balotelli Sergio Aguero Second XI Federico Agliardi Joe Mattock Stefan Radu Iván Córdoba José Bosingwa Yury Zhirkov Ignacio Camacho Michael Ballack Joe Cole Didier Drogba Robinho Others Jack Cork Martin Cáceres Gabriel Heinze Blaise Matuldi Nicolas Anelka This might be the best team I've had on a game ever since the glory days of CM 01/02. I was also offered the job at Real Madrid which was tempting. However, right now I feel I have a better team at Chelsea, and a lot still to be done with them and no amount of virtual money can change my mind.
  12. JEROME ROTHEN SHOULD NOT BE SCORING HAT TRICKS AGAINST CHELSEA. :@ Then again, Michael Ballack shouldn't be scoring four against anyone. But I'm thankful he did. Oh and as for your problem Ando, I really don't have a clue in that case. Sorry about that.
  13. Have you downloaded a dodgy skin perhaps?
  14. Let me tell you this turbo. When I was in Perth last week I thought "Oh my goodness I didn't mean to get a train to a poverty stricken third world hellhole." TRUE STORY.
  15. Indonesian names are horrible. I love international management. Unfortunately the Italian FA weren't too impressed with my draw against Bulgaria so it's looking increasingly likely that I'll be sacked.
  16. I'll be there in five minutes. Promise! Wait for me!
  17. I took this video last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDR6sh-QLXw
  18. In response to the early question - I always use scouts no matter how bad my team is, because at really low levels, for example Blue Square, they can look out some excellent players on free transfers that I really can't be bothered finding.
  19. No, no they are right. Which is a great shame seeing as Because Of The Times was awesomely awesome and their other two albums were just as good.
  20. Journeyman games are awesome. Just keep clear off Scandinavia and South Africa.
  21. The bad thing is that's how things are going in real life too. Minus the 12th place part thankfully.
  22. I've started numerous games with Kilmarnock and I've yet to finish in the top half. They've also crazily underrated Danny Invincible. He's one of our best players in real life but one of the worst on this.
  23. Jeff Beck must have been right good. What was his setlist like? I don't really know Steve Winwood. I really like the Spencer Davis group though.
