  1. The classic fights thing was pretty neat. Though they need to not put in ones where you have to go to a decision. I kept knocking them out by accident. By the third round I basically just had to jab and only jab since you can't knock someone out with one. Thankfully the two or three where you had to get a rear naked choke wasn't as hard as I thought since you can do it right out of a rubber guard transition. I knocked them all out in one evening of playing so it doesn't give much added playability but it's a cool little feature.
  2. I read a post on Gamefaqs stating a June 12th or so release for the patch. It's not quite a month away so that may or may not be the date. The post also said it will give a loss for the person who quit and a win for the person was quitted on.
  3. If anyone here wants to play, i'm getting online now. My tag is THEBEAN88.
  4. I saw the movie yesterday and quite enjoyed it. While it's a far cry from the noir like influence of the first one and the sheer awesomeness of the second one, it holds it's own as a solid film. One thing I did like is how different it was from the others. The first was basically a hunter/hunted type deal, the second was a race to change the future, the third was... well a generic action movie, and this one was a war movie. You get the feeling of giants against man quite well with how they did the Terminator's in this film. The action sequences were absolutely stunning, no doubt about it. The CGI was fantastic to boot. A very good movie that doesn't try to be more than what it is. It's a good set up to what should be (hopefully) an excellent fifth movie. I was reading about what "McG" (what a goddamn stupid name for a movie director) wants to do with the next movie and it seems to be pretty solid. On a side note, when I was on the wikipedia page for the movie looking up what other movies the cast were in, someone edited in that Bruce Lee via CGI will be the bad guy in the next film. If only... I'm now off to watch the first three movies over again.
  5. During my first career I was announced as a Mixed Martial Artist but towards the end it was just as a Boxer.
  6. Is it odd that during UFC 98, every time someone was on the mat I screamed "SPIN THE RIGHT STICK FOOL!".
  7. I finished my first career last night. 33-2 with a 20+ fight win streak to close out my career. A heavyweight boxer/judo fighter who had insane knockout power, awesome trips and throws, and high submission offense. Beat Brock for the title in my third year and never dropped it. Made the hall of fame to boot. Though I never got submission of the night despite having some pretty big ones throughout my career. I even made Brock tap twice, Sylvia tap twice, and Nog tap once. The variety of opponents ended up being the biggest let down. I had to face Lesnar four times, Arlovski, Nog, Sylvia, Mir, and Vera three times each. From now on I'm only doing career to win the belt in each weight class and go for the achievement of getting KO, of the Night, Fight of the night, and Submission of the night. I already started the next career picking a lightweight muay thai/BJJ fighter. Rocksta, I saw you online last night and was going to send a request for an online match but my lag was so bad I figured it wouldn't be worth the trouble. Next time I see you though I'll send an invite.
  8. Houston Alexander looks like a Conehead in the game.
  9. Man I couldn't sleep last night so I was up playing online at around 4-7am and I ended up going something crazy like 14-1 with a ten fight win streak in there. I was unstoppable with Arlovski. It was hard to find fights every so often but it never took long. Though now that I'm over 50 wins and almost to Level 50, some people enter my hosted matches and then leave right away which sucks.
  10. I'm up for whatever format as long as someone gets something going.
  11. A Change of Seasons is my favorite. That was the only album I tried to learn how to play in it's entirety. Though it was pretty hard considering I was using a four piece drum set and Portnoy uses a 20+ piece. Also, if they play a live show near you, try to see it. They're fantastic live.
  12. Man I had a killer online moment tonight. I faced someone that was pretty much even with me on record and level in a heavyweight match. He had Lesnar and I had Arlovski. The first minute or so was just trading punches until he went for the takedown. For the first time, I countered it right into a choke and made him tap. I couldn't believe it.
  13. The online is great... if you find someone that doesn't quit on you. You can have some pretty fantastic back and forth fights or you'll end up either dominating someone or getting dominated yourself. The skill level varies pretty nicely but you'll still have those that spam moves and disconnect and do every other cheap way of getting around taking a loss. Also, if someone disconnects on you, you don't get the win. In fact you get a "Did Not Finish" on your record. Which makes it look like you quit on someone.
  14. If we do a draft we'll have to figure out a good time to do it to adjust for time zones and things like that. Though if you ask me I figured the best way to go about it is select a weight class, everyone gets a fighter. Everyone fights everyone once. 2 points for a win. The four with the most points enter the playoffs. Best of three, the winners of that do best of three again. That winner is your overall winner. But whatever works best is good with me, that is if I end up with Shogun or Maia...
  15. I think that if not a lot of people sign up, everyone should get someone in a single weight class and do it like that. Start with perhaps light heavy then to heavy, etc. If all else fails, maybe set up a tournament instead.
  16. Yeah I've faced some serious lag during a few fights. My connection thankfully is quite smooth with only a bit of lag happening when someone is using a computer in the house which is rarely when I'm playing online.
  17. Ahh I finally got my 15 KO's and 15 submissions in ranked matches. Would have had it sooner if people didn't disconnect on me all the time. I'm also noticing that people are finally starting to play with people other than Lesnar, Rampage, and Silva. I pretty much stick to the same guys myself but I do like to mix it up. I've become quite good with Maia, I think i'm undefeated with him but I might have lost once or twice. The guy is really great in the game thanks to his ability to tap people out plus the very nice combo of Boxing and BJJ. if you can learn to really use a guy with that combo like an Arlovski you can be pretty deadly. Also, what's up with no one playing the smaller weight classes? I couldn't find a single match or someone to join my hosted game on lightweight. I tried it periodically through the day with no luck.
  18. The lowest stamina I went in to a fight with was 0%. I made a huge mistake in my scheduling and figure for sure I would lose. I ended up getting a flash knockout for the win quickly in the first round. I basically blocked everything and waited until an opening and spammed my special punches until he went out.
  19. Can we compete in more than one weight class?
  20. I'm in for the 360 one. I'd prefer actual UFC fighters myself.
  21. Couture along with some other fighters refused to sign their rights away to the game. Plus I think Randy has a contract with EA for doing the Command and Conquer games.
  22. Is anyone else sick of having to fight Rampage over and over again?
  23. I'm on right now if anyone wants to play.
  24. Mr. Evil Guy, if you've got a 360, we should have a fight or two.
