The IGN review for Uncharted 2 is up. The game looks amazing and got a 9.5 out of 10.

I just had an insane game with me Islanders franchise. I was playing against the Kings and entered the 3rd period down by four. With around 10 minutes left I score. Then I scored again, and again. With like 10 seconds left I fired off a slap shot that ended up behind the goalie and scored. On the replay it showed that he kicked it in while he was sprawled out. I literally jumped out of my chair in celebration. Then with around a minute left in OT, I catch a breakaway and score to put it away. First breakaway goal I've scored yet with this game. Awesome game, no wonder NHL 10 gets so many awards. I never get excited like that with Madden.

I started a Be A GM with the Islanders. Figured it'd be fun to build them into a serious threat. My first move was to get a center in there so I signed Hornquist who immediately became my first line center and scored in his first game. Plus he was on the cheap side and is only 22. First game was a heartbreaker though. I scored twice then the Pens tied it up. We traded goals again sending it into overtime. With under 10 seconds left in OT, Malkin gets a garbage goal to win it. However it did feel nice to totally lay Crosby out with a sickening check from Witt.

I absolutely agree that the new song is similar to Amerika. I'm really looking forward to the album though but most of all the first U.S tour since the last time I saw them which was damn near nine years ago. They're absolutely amazing as a live band.

Good first episode. A boring fight but an entertaining show as a whole. Someone needs to make a gif of Rampage's "Titties Face".

Yeah I haven't been able to figure out how to edit my pro either except his attributes via the main menu.

I'm grabbing NHL 10 today. I haven't had a hockey game for a current gen system since the first NHL one for the 360. I used to get the 2K ones when they were 20 bucks but I always hated their gameplay. EA's game just feels right. I'm hoping the Be A Pro mode is fun because on paper it sounds like it's a pretty neat feature. I'm a big franchise nut so the new update for it sounds fantastic.

The new Dying Fetus is god awful in my opinion. The new singers vocals just ruin it for me. The new Black Dahlia Murder album absolutely slays. One of the best offerings I've heard from a band this year.

Sucks to see him die at a young age. Especially to something like cancer. Will be watching Road House and Donnie Darko in tribute.

I'm not surprised that PS3 sales are skyrocketing. Hell I bought two last month.

I've watched a couple of things recently: Word Wars - 7/10 A pretty good documentary focusing on the 2002 national Scrabble championship in San Diego. Much like Spellbound you meet a cast of characters riddled with odd personalities and quirks. From the pot head black man who hates "The Man" to a nerdly guy with intestinal problems. JCVD - 8.5/10 Really good film here that proves that Jean Claud Van Damme can act. It'd be killer to see him do some more roles like this as well as another great action movie. It moves pretty damn slow during parts but it's good enough as a whole to keep you entertained throughout it. I also attempted to watch a documentary on the Harry Potter fanaticism but it got pretty boring halfway through so I gave up on it. It was a bunch of people playing Harry Potter themed music that was god awful. I thought I was going to see some wackos that line up a day early to grab the books at midnight or something like that.

Yeah I really enjoyed it and look forward to the rest of the season. Looks like it's going to be a really good and unique show. Nice to have something lighthearted in your show watching rotation.

Godzilla vs. Megalon I don't think I can really give this a rating because I watched the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version of it. As an episode of the show, it's one of my favorites. Though probably not one of the best Godzilla movies. Still good though in a so bad it's awesome sort of way. I've been on a big Godzilla kick lately so I've got some others I need to watch. On a side note, I finished How I Met Your Mother. All four seasons within like two weeks. Really fantastic show and it's got me so excited for the next season. I also signed up for Netflix tonight and with each movie added to my queue, I saw more and more hours of my life being consumed.

I got my slim yesterday. It's quite nice and a little different than the original PS3 with the buttons and whatnot. Took me a little while to get everything set up like my blu-ray remote but I like it. Now I just need some games to play on it. Shame nothing really good starts coming for another month or so.

I ordered season 1 a few weeks ago and hoped it'd be here in time so I could catch up in time to start season 2 but that's not happening. Hopefully I'll only end up a little behind on it because it's really a great show.

Looks like one of the more requested features is in this year, turning a highlight reel into an entrance movie.

I think some of the collectors editions are absolutely a rip off. I get them every so often like the Gears of War 2 one. Came with a pretty neat behind the scenes disc plus the model tank which is on my movie shelf. I imagine I'll get the Assassin's Creed II collectors edition as well with the figurine for the same purpose as the Gears tank. The Modern Warfare thing is totally worthless. I was at Gamestop and the guy was trying to sell me on it, I just want the damn game. If a collectors edition comes with bonus stuff for the games, behind the scenes stuff, or a neat collectible then it can be worth it. But I can't see myself paying more than 70-80 bucks for a game unless it's like DJ Hero or something which requires a special controller.

Gamer - 6.5/10 A good summer action movie. Just sit back and enjoy your popcorn or candy and watch things get blown up. Michael C. Hall is absolutely fantastic in the movie but unfortunetely they gave him some poor dialog in key scenes. Gerard Butler isn't bad in his role but the movie is pretty different than they make it out to be in the trailers. Prepare for basically a vomiting rainbow of colour mixed with the desaturated look of Terminator Salvation. On the subject of Dexter, I think you'll like the third season Biggz as it was as strong if not better than the first. The second season was kind of meh and the third season looked to be the same but it really picked up about a quarter of the way through it.

Anyone else heard the new Black Dahlia Murder Album? I didn't care for their last album all that much but the new one rips it up. Really good stuff from start to finish.

I've got everything from Destiny's Child's first album to Behemoth's newest with a lot thrown in the middle.

Halloween II (2009) - 7.5/10 Some friends and I saw this on a whim tonight and I'm glad we did. I thought it was quite good and much better than Zombie's first Halloween film. Some pretty brutal kills made for a fun movie experience.

I never got to play God of War I or II so I'll be picking that up for sure.

I imagine Need for Speed will have a demo. EA is pretty good at putting out demos for their games. On an unrelated note, I'm ordering my slim PS3 this week, excited!

Yeah the episode tonight was basically nothing but build up which was really nice. It's going to do nothing but make the final episode this season awesome.
