Since I still haven't bought a 360 or a PS3, I decided to replay one of the FFs I've never beaten, Final Fantasy 9. Always liked the game, but playing it again after such a long break I am wondering why people don't like this game more.

The reason for the prom being such a huge deal is that it is more or less the last thing you do as a class (sans graduation). This means that for most High School based TV shows that this is one of the last big event in the show for most of the characters, if not all of them. So it's the beginning of the end of the series as it stands and is usually a good place to start ending plot threads, especially the big romance (still it's a dance).

Only people in the US and Canada actually care about the Stanley Cup, the rest of the world want to win the World Cup, it is the ultimate prize in sport I beat you that hockey is much more popular in places like Finland, Sweden, Russia, Czech Republic, etc... than football/soccer. The Stanley Cup is probably much more recognizable than the little gold trinklet you get for winning the World Cup. Yeah sure how many people worldwide watched the stanley cup compared to Manchester United Vs Barcelona in the Champions League not as many i can tell you that, and the World Cup is even bigger than the Champions League Again...

Looks more like the C team to me. 7 uncapped players and 10 more with 5 caps or less. Still confused at why Jozy isn't playing. You'd think they'd want to give him as much playing time with Adu as possible.

Technically they don't win that golden trophy, they get a replica. The Stanley Cup however stays with the team for one full season and everyone gets to spend one day with it doing whatever they want. Hilarity ensues. And why does the number of teams playing for it count? It's not about the tournament, it's about the trophy.

I wasn't arguing against you. It was you who mentioned the Ashes. I think the World Cup is great and of course means far more to me personally than the Stanley Cup or the Superbowl cup thing. I simply brought up the Ashes because I thought it funny that someone would mention the visual affects of the World Cup, but completely ignore the Ashes - which while historic, isn't much a visual trophy. Is all. But for the record; Historic, best story, whatever trophy; World Cup Visually my favourite; Possibly the Stanley Cup... I mean its fucking huuuge. Could you explain how the World Cup trophy is more historic and has better stories than the Stanley Cup? I love soccer and think that the World Cup is one of the greatest tournaments in the history of sport, but the trophy itself doesn't hold a candle to the Stanley Cup. Hell the FIFA World Cup trophy has only been around since 1974. Before that they used the Jules Rimet Trophy.

My Finale was a perfect ending to Scrubs, but I'm not going to crap on the fact they are making another season. Just think of it as a spin-off (which it is because two of the three main characters are gone) or like it's a movie/game/book sequel. The new seasons aren't going to take away from the episode.

When is the rest of the media going to stop underestimating Jon Stewart and his crew when it comes to hard hitting stuff like this? You'd think after he almost single-handedly got canceled Crossfire they'd take him more seriously.

I don't think anybody realizes it, but the episode more or less was a wrestling feud. Cartman, playing the heel makes fun of the face, Wendy. It continues till the Wendy can't take it anymore and challenges Cartman to a match. Cartman's lackeys more or less accept the match for him, however Cartman really doesn't want the match because of a fear of losing. So he tries his hardest to get out of the match in various ways. This includes getting an authority figure to make a ruling that Wendy can't fight Cartman. Cartman gloats to the point that Wendy says screw the rules and the match happens. The face wins, but the heel is still about to keep his heat because of his own screwed up heel logic.

Actually, they compared cancer to Cartman.

How are the Lions fucked? The season is already over for us, and we got a 1st, 3rd, and 6th for someone who we would have had to franchise and a 7th. It gives the new GM some ammo in the draft and saves us from having a ton of cap room in WRs. And it's not all good news for the Cowboys. TO is already bitching about touches, so you trade for Roy Williams?

I'd much rather see a Nightwing or Teen Titans "Smallville" style show. Actually a Smallville styled Teen Titans show would be incredibly awesome. Someone get this done.
