  1. https://www.panthers.com/news/cam-newton-nationwide-walter-payton-man-of-the-year-charity-challenge https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/cam-newton-to-feed-underprivileged-kids-for-thanksgiving/ https://fanbuzz.com/nfl/cam-newton-thanksgiving-dinners/ https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/02/20/cam-newton-foundation-program-racism-prejudice-social-activism Yeah that Cam Newton sure is an asshole. He even dances on the field after he scores!
  2. Arsenal away for next year. I like it, a bit different. Always rated raspberry ripple too though, so I might be biased.
  3. I preferred the bus seat one. That new one is just boring.
  4. Did the TV show basically confirm Young Griff is a fraud by writing him out and merging Jon Connington's story with Ser Jorah though? Now that I think of it, the show left so much good material out that could have extended the series by years. Arainne and Quentyn Martell, and Victarion Greyjoy just don't exist in the TV show. The last few series of the show were such a missed opportunity.
  5. Now that you mention the books. Do any of the book readers here actually care if they ever get released? It's been so long that I read A Dance With Dragons that I don't even really remember or care what's going on with most of the characters. With it all getting muddle up with the series and revealing the broad ending, there's no motivation to read it. I'm sure I will read it if WOW ever does come out, but I don't think I care in the slightest any more. With the delay and the show fucking things up so much, it's killed all interest.
  6. PSG are doing a good job of the globalistion aspect. Signing Neymar, releasing Jordan gear and redesigning their badge so it has a massive Paris on it were all to this end. Only problem with them is that I don't think Ligue 1 will ever be popular enough worldwide. West Ham also tried this by sticking London on their crest for no reason.
  7. GTA San Andreas The Last of Us Fallout New Vegas FM 2012 Pokemon Silver Probably not accurately answering the question as I was 9 when Pokemon SIlver came out and 21 when The Last of Us came out but these are the important ones that spanned my lifetime. I'd probably throw one of the FIFAs in there too. I used to play those religiously around 09/10 and was pretty good at them competitively online, but they didn't stick with me! FM 2012 gets the nod because it's the one I put the most hours into and I feel it peaked then.
  8. That's a small bit unrealistic considering he signed for Sheffield United in real life during the same month you're in!
  9. Hummel would be much better it they went a bit easier on the chevrons. They can overwhelm a good design a lot of the time. Not as bad as Kappa trying to get as many of their logos on a shirt as possible though!
  10. I'd take Emre Can's and Carroll's bicycle kicks get no mention but I'd take there's over Rooney's shinner! Also I think Van Persie's best goal was the volley from outside the box against Charlton. Technique was insane on that one!
  11. I never said he wasn't amazing, I said people rate him too highly which I stand by. I grew up watching him, it's not as if I'm checking his wiki for the stats and making a claim. Yes I feel the touch wasn't intended to go that I way. I think he was stretching to drag the ball the opposite way ,to open it up onto his right foot. After the touch went the other way his momentum carried him into the same path. He then pushes Dabizas to the ground with an extended hand to the chest which was a foul. Just an opinion, everyone has one!
  12. Oh I agree he was a fantastic player, I just think he was rated a bit too highly because of the style of player he was and produced a couple of highlight reel moments. He also was far from a prolific scorer, well the level that you'd associate with the top strikers anyway. I'll always think that. I remember Sky put him in the all-time Premier League team ahead of Shearer a few years back which was absolutely absurd. But the main thing is there's no way that is the greatest goal in the PL era. I'd take Suarez' one against Newcastle over it alone and that was a similar type of goal.
  13. That Bergkamp goal (and the man himself for that matter) is so over-rated it's criminal. It's a complete mistouch and then he pushes Dabizas off the ball. There's this mystique around him that I never got. That goal shouldn't even crack the top 3 goals scored vs. Newcastle, nevermind the greatest goal ever.
  14. I missed the discussion but Is there a logo pack that keeps the flags in the game or a quick way to delete the FA ones? Mine are in a big folder together and the little FA emblem next to each player annoys me ore than it should!
  15. My favourite ever regen was in 2012 a Brazillian/Polish lad called Nei. I love the dual nationalities that pop up, adds a bit of realism to the game and makes it fun to see who they play for. I always think of these regens when I see current Argentinian international Alexis Mac Allister!
  16. Giants should really just stop drafting CBs at this point. At least Prince was an absolute saint of a person, if not completely average and underwhelming. I miss Corey Webster
  17. I think the thing that agitates me the most about them is that the home doesn't have sleeve numbers while the away does. Also the lack of "horns" on the away one is weird, looks like they forgot to fill them in.
  18. Yeah that's my problem with it all. They seem incredibly reluctant to play while seemingly keeping their astronomical wages flowing. The same wages that are only possible because of revenue streams from them playing. No issues with them not playing for safety puposes but their wages should be withheld at that point.
  19. Watson's claim have already been outed as bullshit btw. There's multiple sources of him saying he spoke to the Bears in the week's leading up to his draft. He has a right to have a chip on his shoulder for not being drafted ahead of Trubisky but there's no need to lie about things.
  20. That'd make it easier if anything really as it caps the temporary changes at League 2. You just have a 21 instead of a 24 team League 2. Increased relegation spots starting with 5 from the PL but keep the normal promotion spots for 20/21 season to balance the numbers back. Everything from League 2 down remains the same as it is. Is
  21. I really wish they'd just go for a one-off 22 team Premier League, award the title to Liverpool, European places as is, promote all the automatics and relegate nobody.
  22. Didn't Robert Johnson name the Charlotte Bobcats after himself?
  23. It says a lot to Shula's longevity and dominance, that Belichick might not even match his win totals. He's 43 behind now and the Pats are the most uncertain they've looked in a long time. I'd still argue for Belichick as the GOAT coach though. He has a higher win % and his playoff record is an absolutely absurd 30-11. Looking up coaching records I love that Jeff Fisher's career translates to a 8.16-7.84 or 8-8 rounded record over a 16 game season. The memes are real!
  24. I don't think there'll be fans at any of the games anyway and that's if the season goes ahead at all. The London games were certainly never happening this year,
  25. That's why I never got about him. He was fine in college but only played one year and literally came out of nowhere as the top QB a couple of months before the draft. I've seen him play live and he makes the most simple short throws look laboured. He's so underwhelming. I know Mahomes had a lot of question marks but at the time but I'm still baffled how anybody would have taken him over Deshaun Watson. This whole "looks like a QB" thing is very much prevalent. Which is why I'm still not sold on the Daniel Jones pick either. He doesn't have huge arm strength and has massive fumbling issues that aren't that easy to iron out of a QB's game. He's very much a Dave Gettleman pick too who probably like the way he smelled or some other bullshit.
