  1. I've got faith in the team behind the scenes if that they've identified Amorim to be the guy then I'll back him and once Alonso ruled himself out Amorim was probably the second choice for me. Rather him than De Zerbi Anyone who comes in after Klopp is always going to be difficult but if he's eager for the job that's a positive for me.
  2. Taking obvious bias out of this, I really don't think the takeover is going to be good for Everton either. The fact its still not approved and the fact there are issues with 777 with other clubs and themselves as a company having legal issues due to payments suggests the grass isn't necessarily greener. I honestly think they're looking at the benefits of the stadium more than anything.
  3. The social media chat about it has made me giggle over the last few months. The only thing we can say is the price was a steal considering how much other midfielders have gone for this season but that's taking advantage of a release clause I don't think its a coincidence he's kicked on since Endo (who has been brilliant this year) has solidified his place in the team and its given the midfield a lot more balance. Its nice having gone from the midfield options and lack of goal contributions they provided last season to what we have now.
  4. Unnecessarily stressful second half that after taking the lead in the first half because their keeper smacked it against Nunez. Bradley own goal in the second half led to a lot of tension as majority of the game it was all huffing and puffing to little effect. Mac Allister has to be up there for signing of the season. He's been immense and his goal was a thing of beauty. Nice for Gakpo to get a confidence booster as well going into a tough game on Sunday
  5. Perfect sunday for the reds. Good comeback against Brighton and then a City/Arsenal game in which it felt like neither said wanted to risk losing. I didnt think the draw against City was a bad result when it happened knowing this game was to come after it and having won ours, a draw was a perfect result.
  6. He's telling them not to get complacent like on the old FMs so obviously the players get a cob on and get complacent Followed by a Jekyll and Hyde performance team talk after the match
  7. If Alonso hadn't played for us, think a lot of people on social media etc wouldn't have reacted the way they have at the news. Feels to me he is going to do another year at Leverkusen trying to retain the league and Champions League football whilst waiting for the Madrid job. Looks like we'll turn our attention to Amorim or De Zerbi.
  8. Love these types of games when they're on. Always fun to go to and just seeing load of players when you're growing up playing again. Still find it mad that out of those who played you're got Skrtel now with hair, Kuyt who's had a glow up and Torres becoming an absolute unit of a man.
  9. Game should have been abadoned purely for that "get stuck in lads banner" in the United end
  10. Mickey Mouse cup... Least my bank gets a break from all the Wembley trips we've had the last few years
  11. Not that I'll be watching or really care, just curious as to why given the consideration for other players of a similar age that Harvey Elliott never seems to get a mention as someone who should/could be called up.
  12. Napoli is making you think that. Cause we've been solid against other teams bar a defeat to Roma (but we battered them at Anfield) Perfect draw for me. Avoids Leverkusen and I think Milan is the other one to worry about.
  13. I fully expect at least one person to try and travel via a dinghy across the Mersey and Irish sea.
  14. I don't know. Its the luck of the draw and if you are in the harder side, you're surely the favourites to win it. Say Arsenal best Bayern then City/Madrid I'd favour them to go on and win the whole thing. That and it'll help our title chances....
  15. Not being biased but feels like the Europa League has been a more fin competition than the Champions League this season. The last 16 games I watched felt very paint by numbers One step closer to Dublin though. UEFA have already peddled out the ticketless fans line in the media....
  16. Would you take Arsenal winning the Champions League if it meant Spurs qualifying. Just curious
  17. Makes their next game even bigger given its Forest at home. The proverbial six pointer.
  18. I think Billy Hogan's job got restructured not long ago which gave people the impression this move was gonna happen. Don't know if im reading too much into the job title but suggests FSG might be looking into the multi-club model
  19. Funniest thing about the whole thing was Mike Dean going "Yeah that's a pen, they'll send him the monitor" VAR check complete "Correct decision from VAR there"
  20. Arsenal don't have an easy away run at all and have the obvious away trip to City next. I think our April is a good run in but then its Spurs at home, Villa away and Wolves at home final three games. Got to go Old Trafford and Goodison as well City have Arsenal/Villa back to back and go to Tottenham as well which is always a bogey game for them. Still think City are the favourites. I think the fact we're even in this position is brilliant as you'd have expected it to be City/Arsenal again. Arsenal are on form but we've been winning with a heavily depleted squad.
  21. Anywhere else on the pitch, that would have been given. Brilliant performance, outstanding in the second half and missed some good chances. Don't think that harms our chances for the title at all, keeps the momentum rolling
  22. Was a clever goal. Frustrating to concede it mind. We haven't played bad but you can tell its not a full strength team. We've gotten behind a few times and just with a bit more quality I can see us getting back. We've not been blown away.
