  1. This bit I can see being something in the back of Klopp's mind especially given we've missed out on the title by one point on two seperate occasions given that any title race we've had, City decide to reach uber levels of consistency. That's probably something that the club may have thought about over the past few days. Again. Just want to reiterate I do think the idea of a replay is a daft idea. It's done but this needs to bring about reform for VAR and standards of officiating. Also want to say I do think its mad that PGMOL seem to be unable to apologise. In the what feels like werkly statments they've released this season they never once just say sorry we've made a mistake.
  2. Think any idea of a replay is daft. Just competency and better standards of officiating (on and off the field) and revamping VAR is what's needed. That and officials putting themselves in situations like going UAE two days before a game
  3. Birth place of football indeed! ITS COMING HOME; ENGERLAND!!!!
  4. Bad night for Onana, Casemiro and the Man Utd defence. So many mistakes of their own doing. Haven't seen much of the Arsenal game so can't really comment on that but a fantastic result for Lens. Saka went off injured so that's a worry with the City game on the weekend
  5. Purely depends on the quality of the food and if you're wanting a drink what they have on offer. When we went Lanzarote, the food was fantastic and there weren't any divvies in the hotel so was a really good week of relaxation. The one in Crete not so much and I still feel bad that Heather spent the evening of her 30th having to listen to a drunk cockney saying he pays our benefits.
  6. Is it bad I automatically asssumed it was Watford firing someone
  7. Reverse jinx Edit: and as I send that Zaha scores.
  8. I'm not saying about people in here but generally speaking the shit I've had said to me because of where I'm from and the team I support, its really not nonsense. Holiday for my wifes 30th we spent 5 days in an all inclusive hotel having a Londoner have a pop because of where we are from, every time saw us. That's one example of a number. Champions League had so many people saying stuff about its always the scousers etc rather than hang on what's going on here. I don't care about the result. I care about having a system that is fit for purpose, with people being able to communicate on a basic level and make the correct calls. It was a system put in place to reduce human error not create more. If that happened to any other team I'd feel the same. I don't like the culture there seems to be with the refs of automstically backing up friends ala Mike Dean on VAR and the Cucurella incident last season cause he didnt want to embarrass or make his mate feel bad. Have dedicated VAR officials. Have dedicated onfield officials. Be more transparent, why not mic the refs up. Why is it that first two weeks players were booked for doing the card gesture and now why is it Joelinton (this is just one example I'm picking but can be so many other players) can do it 5 times and not get booked? There needs to be better standards across the board than there has been. I get subjective decisions can be contested. Jones' red is a perfect example because despite the vast majority on here being it is a red, so many in the media etc have said the opposite. Offside especially with technology is not subjective. Is he off or isn't he. That could have been any match. It may have happened several times and we may not have known. But if this brings catalyst for change then good cause it needs to happen. If not I'd rather go back to not having VAR and if someone makes a mistake its sound cause least it's more understandable
  9. Yeah but anti-Liverpool/scouse rhetoric always trumps common sense thinking in football. Any chance to score points, "Always the victims" and all that jazz.
  10. Up there with our sweaty kits are making us play bad....
  11. How often do you get a situation as bad as that though. Bit different then your usual subjective iffy decisions. You'd be singing a different tune if that was the other way round.
  12. But they even themselves out and other bad decisions in the past and all that tribalism bollocks.... Absolute incompetence and a farce
  13. Not just Darren England. Like to add Michael Oliver (4th Official) and Dan Cook (assistant VAR). Just not a good look at all
  14. I could find a tweet of "England's brave" Harry Kane's tackle on Robbo the other season that should have been a red and other decisions too if we're going down that route. I just want to point out. If we're saying that offside decision is a case of "it'll even out" then it's just an acceptance of how bad the standard of officiating is across the league as a whole. What's the point in VAR if we're still going with the "ah you get some you don't" attitude. Go back to the old way of things and have goal line tech. The whole point of VAR was to go you've made a clear and obvious mistake there. Not muddy the waters more. Result doesnt bother me before theres more liverhughes stuff. We're two points off top, playing well and we held on until the very last second with 9 men. I didn't think we would be in this position where we are and I'm made up with the team we have and the quality of new signings like Szoboszlai. What bothers me is how bad officiating has come to the point it feels like every game across a match week will have had some fuck up in it and there's no accountability or anything from it cause they all stick up for one another and don't hold their hands up ala Mike Dean saying "ah i didn't wanna put pressure on my mate". Also where is the consistency. First two match weeks they cracked down on players waving yellow cards. Then it just doesn't exist anymore. Mac Allister against Chelsea, Nunez against Bournemouth....and then poof, it's gone that rule now. You'll see a post in here about a bad ref decision every game week. Then Howard Webb will be selective over what VAR decisions are shown going look at the boss job we've done in these 4 incidents. My ramble over.
  15. My dad could have seen that it should have stood and he's been dead for over 14 years
  16. It is. Its brain dead. But it's never a yellow for the first. Its never a foul. But that was honestly one of the worst officiating performances I've seen. On pitch and VAR. It's across the league and there's no accountability or repercussions and it feels like it's just accepted as the standards are crap. I do think so far this season, we've shown we are probably the best team in the league when it comes to back againdt the wall, up against adversity
  17. Can't be mad at the team. They played brilliantly against such adversity and bollocks and defended really well with 9 men, showed a lot of character. Team last season would have crumbled. Massively unlucky there with some absolutely shite officiating
  18. I hope he is. Cause there has been some utter bollocks officiating
  19. Jota getting his first yellow card for a player kicking himself and falling over sums it up.
  20. I think that's what has wound me up the most. It's literally the first thing the ref sees when he goes over to the monitor and I do think whether people think it is or isn't a red, that still image being the very first thing you are shown is gonna have a sway in your decision making. I don't think that should have been done, it should have been shown from the start of the incident and different angles then a decision made.
  21. You must have been on the VAR for this game. Pick the still image at the end without any of the context
  22. Gakpo sacrificed his knee to end this injustice
  23. Diaz looked on by a good yard or two before the Son goal, didn't bother with any lines or anything then we just concede. Farce this.
  24. Even the VAR then was a joke. Show a still image of the very end instead of showing the footage from the start for context
