I don't know if anything more has come of it ( @DFFmight know? idk), but it turns out Electric Wizard are a.) on a label with a nazi band and b.) the label itself seems to have nazi ties. I know people on /r/doommetal were talking about this and how they won't be listening to EW or buying EW's new record as long as they're on a label that promotes that sort of shit. https://dancollen.medium.com/electric-wizard-releases-music-on-label-known-for-nazi-themed-metal-caa8b35b88c2 Seems that Dan Collen emailed the label and Electric Wizard about it but hasn't heard back.

My dad saw Sabbath in the late 70s and has seen Ozzy live multiple times. Said Sabbath was pretty killer from what he remembered (lots of weed and lots of smoke and lots of drugs so he doesn't remember much), and some little band just getting their breakthrough called Van Halen opened for them on that tour. -

I never really gave the ASM movies a fair shake, I think. I know I saw the first one and just kinda had it on as background noise, I can't even remember if I saw the 2nd. I think people on EWB didn't like it so I went "eh" and never bothered. -
I wouldn't at all be surprised if they tossed around multiple ideas or filmed multiple post-credits scenes before landing on what we got, tbh
